It hinges to store the bot mode head
It's cool that Magnus isn't that much shorter then Prime in his unarmored mode.
I just thought maybe the head could be flipped from the back ( e.g g1 Magnus robot cab) instead of partformer like the trailer armor pieces. This way, that abdominal hinge could be used for other purpose like opening the chest door for storing the matrix. However, if the transformation requires the white Magnus head to be popped off from the socket and then use that hinge to open the chest and store the white Magnus head, that is a little bit of let down to a certain degree...
Huh? The head flips out from the front of the chest. As in you open the chest and flip the white prime head out and then close the chest. There’s no parts forming on the inner bot
I know, that surprise me too. Their shoulder/torso seem to be on the same height with one another...only the head which make it the difference.
Seeing Magnus and Prime like that remind me of the Dreamwave DataTrack:
Magnus’ lower legs are shorter, look at their knees. That’s part of what contributes to the height difference
You probably right. I didn't view it from the entire assembly of the chest.
Instead, I got confused by the seem on the side of the chest, see the red arrow. I took that's the only section which the chest cab would swing down so I was like how does the head flip down if it sits all the way on the top? lol.
You are correct.
Yep I’m pretty sure the whole blue part swings open
