While I’m far from the first person to mod the Sideswipe/Red Alert figure, this brings me to three without even keeping one in their original state! This one was the Red Alert, which all three of my figures have been. Ironic, since the other two mods I’ve done have been Sideswipes.

My idea for Tigertrack is that he’s a Cybertronian cop (hence keeping the lights from Red Alert). The green lights and “badge” are something he kept after joining the Autobots.

I wound up using the same style mod to pull the guy apart all three times: a snip of the arm “wings” that keep it attached to the core torso. It makes for a slightly wider range of arm movement if you’re not careful, but a spot of glue also fixes that in the end as well.

And here’s Tigertrack with his body brothers as well, G2 Sideswipe and SG Sideswipe.

Can’t wait to see how easy it is to mod Earthrise Sunstreaker.

that sg sideswipe is making me want an armada wheeljack from that mold.

Thanks guys! My “knack” is just using oil-based paint pens from Sharpie and some generic ones from Target for the pastel colors. I’ve often had to sand down the parts lightly to make sure the paint takes better.

Also, the pens really help with the clean lines if you’re only mediocre like myself.

Funny thing: they were supposed to be orange! I didn’t want to harm the depth of the eyes, so I painted over the light blue with a light orange wash from target, followed by toxic neon orange from sharpie. It seems to have blended to make a reddish-orange that looks quite awesome.

I’ve decided that if I ever get my hands on a fourth Red Alert, I’m gonna make me a Breakdown.

The numbers come from leftover stickers from a some Gunpla. Specifically, the 1988 Zeta Plus kit, which has a bunch of customization sticker options.

The green “badge” was also supposed to be a chest gem sticker for the Arc Impulse Gundam, a much more recent kit. But it works!

Very nice customs. Nice to see you're planning on making Breakdown. He never seems to get an official repaint of a Sideswipe mold.

Actually no-one ever repaints Sideswipe as his Gobot mold buddies, G2 Firecracker and Robots in Disguise REV.

On the subject of Stunticons, I think the mold could work for Cyberverse Dead End who I genuinely thought was Sideswipe in his first few scenes in Cyberverse Season 3.

Another couple of Decepticons you could try are Movie Oilpan and Dead End who were both repaints of Movie Breakdown.

Sorry, I got carried away but your customs are excellent.
