Greenlight's fleshy-coloured thighs kinda disturb me.

The rotor part fits neatly behind his head in robot mode, if you shut his backpack around it, it says secure and out of the way.

He’s just so blocky and boring compared to the Generations version... better color layout and headsculpt, but that’s about it.

I wish you were still printing. I'd love to get a piece to fit inside his ankles in robot mode to help stabilize things.

It’s a lot like the CW UM vs Siege UM debate. The Siege line is really geared towards the G1 folks, and this Springer is definitely for the G1 crowd. Thrilling 30 Springer is for those fans of the Nick Roche take on Springer.

Both are really good iterations on the character. I plan on keeping both.

Yeah, this replaces Warbot Defender on my classics shelf. The fantastic T30 Springer will continue to have a place on my comics shelf.

Just picked Springer up yesterday and am impressed so far. Good hand-feel like the other figures from the Siege line, and an interesting transformation.

Did someone post a picture of Siege Printer with T30 Springer’s sword? I will finally get a chance to get a hold of my Siege Springer tomorrow and I’m departing giving him my spare sword.

Pretty much this. IDW inspired designs aren't welcome here. CW Ultra is gone and once I get Siege Springer, the T30 one is gone. Dont need comic trash on my shelves

Different tastes for different folks. I’ve kept CW UM and won’t be buying the Siege UM as I enjoyed Lost Light immensely. I’ll be keeping T30 Springer as I love LSotW.

But if you must have G1 inspired stuff, Masterpiece and Siege are there for you.

Well, that definitely helps, thanks. It feels like it won't hold, yet it does.

You'd be missing out on the UM figure IMO, but as you said, different tastes.

I just consider duplivates to be alternate realities in the sense of the Prine Wars vs. The WFC Trilogy. Imagine that conversation if you will, particularly between the Springers.

T30: why am I so CHONK
Wfc: Holy crap I've got spikey knees...
T30:... Is your Rodimus an insufferable prick too?
Wfc: Oh no is he the same across alternaties?

    Both:...BROTHER!!

    And so on.

Coconsidering that I literally only enjoy G1 and Bayverse portions of Transformers...yeah. Siege is the best thing from Transformers since I got back into it in 2009.

Siege makes some terrific figures based off of G1 designs, including Springer. But, even with extensive sculpted details and battle damage, G1 designs themselves are rather bland and blocky ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ ‍

    I respectfully disagree.
While the diaclone designed figures et al are definitely that way, the floor dery designs are decidedly not blocky. Perhaps the best example would be Unicron himself, but kup, arcee, and cyclonus are definitely not blocky.

Ironically, while I love cw Magnus enough that siege Magnus offers no interest to me, generations Springer, who I loved at the time, really has some poor visual design, which leaves me happy with siege, even though it lacks Springer's trademark roundness.
Gen Springer's shoulders are atrocious, and I really, really hate the giant wheel feet. He's a fun figure, and a nice reimagining of the character, but to me Springer will always be the star quarterback, not a basketball player
