I can\'t wait for my Springer to arrive he looks fantastic! I don\'t understand why they gave Thundercracker a shit-eating smirk instead of Starscream but I\'m glad they did just to give us the option to swap out the heads which I\'m absolutely doing.

You said it, but yeah they went wayyyy overboard with that zany smile. But it's a $30 figure you can't take silly risks like that.

Because every single Starscream toy has to smirk while none of the other seekers can move their mouths in such a manner. Hasbro is never ever allowed to switch things up. Everything from the G1 cartoon has to be slavishly copied with no room for variation. Imagine if one human smiled & no other human was allowed to smile ever! That 1 human that smiled now owns that facial expression & nobody else is allowed to use it ever!

Springer looks great, it's a shame they didn't do his colors right though. :/

Red Alert looks much better with the red sirens in these photos. He also has enough red in his deco, which wasn't as clear before.

Springer has a very photogenic shade of green and I'm looking forward to getting an army of Reflector triplets.

Thundercracker looks much better than Starscream. Love that shade of blue.

Agree. One of many problems with this toy.

Is Thundercracker smirking or having a stroke?

These pictures only further demonstrate that the Siege figures look way better in actual in-hand photos than in the digital renders. There is just something about them, be it the detailing, chunkiness, or heft, that just doesn't come through in the production images.

I think I'll end up passing on Siege Springer. I like the more screen accurate proportions but Thrilling 30 Springer is still a fun figure so I'll most likely stick with that one.

As for Thundercracker, I did want him too but that smirk kind of kills it for me. Instead of that evil smirk, I would have preferred a goofy smirk like he was pitching his latest movie script in the IDW-Verse 1.0. Maybe a 3P/shapeways will give us some optional faces. That smirk would look better on Starscream. It just screams "How it pains me to do this".

Do you have Starscream? You could just do a head swap.

I thought about that but I had decided to pass on Starscream. I was mainly wanting TC because the colors look better than Screamer's, IDW made him awesome, and I didn't really want three of this particular seeker mold. :)

I guess I wasn't super clear. I actually quite like the head, I just think it works so much better for Starscream.
Gee it's almost like the entire point of the Siege line is to give us pre-Earth G1 designs with faithful bot modes or something./s All I said was I think the smirk works better for Starscream, your hostile tone is unwarranted and disproportionate. We get it you hate G1, no need to be a condescending ass about it.

Same here, I've never really been into Seekers enough to get more than one but I love the tetrajet mold and will definitely be getting the full trio for the first time. Fingers crossed we get other repaints down the road for Acid Storm and Sunstorm -- maybe even some remolds for Slipstream, Thrust, Dirge, or Ramjet. I feel like Slipstream at the very least is going to happen considering how much they've been pushing her to the forefront lately.

It\'s funny, every seeker other than Starscream has gotten me interested in getting this with just their paintjob alone.
Though I\'m still gonna wait for reprolabels to repaint their part for him.

I was never to found of T30's Springer. It's just looks to lanky IMO. As a result I don't mind the upgrade.

TC is a buy on sight to! Just swap heads with Starscream. That's likely what they meant to do in the first place.

True true but in an IDW comic ,neutral Thundercracker said to an Autobot in a panel "You're tempting me"with same typical Starscream smirk, very similar to the shuttle scene ,only that there, surely involved something much more noble for both :D  ,so it can go on him.
But I don't know if IDW usually gave to blue seeker that smile.

I agree the smirk doesn't suit Thundercracker as he is conflicted about the rights and wrongs of the Decepticon cause....

I will be giving my copy a head transplant from my spare Starscream.
