Springer looks awesome! It\'s a little disapoointing that he isn\'t a triple changer, thry just combined both alt modes together into 1. Thundercracker looks great and I love the blast effect piece he comes with. Red Alert also looks great and I love how his lighbar turns into a pickaxe of doom. Leaderclass Prime is a hard pass since the voyager is pretty much perfect and I am not in any way nostalgic for the awful Cybertron show inspired design. Hopefully we\'ll get a look at the exclusives soon.

Thrilling 30 Springer will always be my favorite Springer. That toy is simply fantastic and of course a physical representation of one of my favorite pieces of TF fiction: The IDW wreckers saga.


That said: this new Springer is a great looking representation of my favorite season of all transformers shows: season 3! He looks like he comes straight out the animation. Can’t wait to have him in hand.

 

Lol Red Alert’s light bar axe looks very silly. The Thundercracker deco makes that mold look good enough to buy.

I stan IDW Springer but this Siege figure makes a great G1 offering.

 

I really like the cut of that Springer\'s jib. Not sure if the figure will be better than the Thrilling 30s one, but I like how buff and hench this guy looks, whereas the previous Springer was more like a lean, toned athlete as opposed to the beefy brawler look you\'d associate with the character. That and it\'s nice to see this figure actually has ankle articulation, something I\'ve always missed on T30 Springer. I just hope the transformation won\'t be too simplistic by comparison, as T30 really hit that sweet spot of just being complex enough to be stimulating while also remaining accessable enough for people who aren\'t into grandmaster level plastic origami.

 

It hasnt been confirmed yet that he isnt. I can see the mechanics of how it would work though, just split the tail connect with the front portion then drop the rotor section back to form the back of the car mode. Not sure where the blades would go mind.

Repaint... No! A different mold, yes.

 

Exclusives may have been an inartful way of putting it - Hasbro has shown off the semi-exclusives and non-B&M figures like Arcee, Grotusque, and the three Prime Wars figures in the past at various conventions. One might assume the WFC Battlepacks and/or Generations Select Series figures fall within that umbrella. Maybe Ratchet doesn't get shown (although Hasbro also shows off Walgreens exclusives for the Marvel Legends line at NYTF), but I think we'll see at least Greenlight if not the rest

 

You can see the green part behind the canopy can slide forward, and his feet csn bend forward to form the sides of the car. Besides, why would he have 4 wheels if he had no car mode?
I like how the rotor is formed, guess this means he will have 2 swords.

 

I'll have that Springer.

 

I still like my Warbot Defender, and I haven't cared for any of the Springers that came afterwards. For a long time it was a favorite of mine (it's the figure that jumpstarted my 3p collection). But fast foward to the future and sadly even an inlimited amount of Future cannot safe him. So as the classics Springer on my shelf, this Siege one (despite being a bit too g1) will most likely replace him.

It would be nice if we can get Rodimus, Kup and Arcee in a similar style for a proper season 3 Autobot shelf.

 

But dude, it is blatantly obvious he has a car mode. He transforms like G1 Springer, and that guy had the most basic simple alt mode transformation ever.

 

Unfortunately you can see in the images of Springer that the yellow is paint, at least on his front end and on his shoulders. So taking the battle damage off means taking the yellow off too (on the shoulders).

 

I do prefer how T30 Springer looks, but the bot mode of the new Siege Springer didn't look too bad either. Can't wait to see how will both T30 and Siege Springer look side by side.

 

I also have some nitpicks. They forgot the air intakes.

 

That Springer looks fantastic!

 

Ah very cool...I'm hopeful to see Ratchet then.
