So update on my take on a Siege Slapdash, all his customisation is complete and he had been painted in a yellow, grey and blue combo to match that of his original G1 toy, the Blue might be a bit to light but its all I had and it helps make the yellow not stand out so much. I am planning some custom transfers for him what will be a updated version of the original figures updated and made to fit the new shape of the apt mode. The final step will be to do the semi gloss clear coat on top. Thoughts?
BOTH look really cool. I'd like to see a backview of his alt mode. And I think some more painted details, maybe in a metal color, would improve him a lot but I'm excited what your custom transfers will do for him.
Well I'm going for a more of a updated toy look not a big detail look if that makes sense, also only rear image I have of him and as for transfers this is what I'm planning
I think I have already seen this one in your previous WIP thread. I'd like to see an updated one of the painted version or even better of the final version. Looks pretty cool. Definitely breaks up the cohesive yellow and makes him look less plain
Aye I thought I had a new image of the rear I guess not, I'll get one once I get home tonight and yeh I think the decals really help I am thinking a couple more but I don't know where and some places would show it in the robot mode and I like the clean look of the legs
So I'd suggest to put some on the spoilers or at least rear spoiler and on the forearms to extend that arrow/surfboard look of the canopy combined with your already planned decals.
Personally I don't think that would look good, the decal on the nose is actually the one from the G1 dude but I modified it to fit the new shape but I also like aiming for more of a updated toy look as that's what my collection is aimed at but I get what ya mean
They could even give him a new Powermaster that is like SIEGE Apeface's Headmaster. A robot face on one side and an engine on the other one.
Oh yeh forgot I've never posted about my CW mirage haha, he's the normal CW one I took a saw to and made it more F1 like with some shapeways parts and the head and guns from the siege version, once I have his decals I'll make a full post explaining everything.
Only really did it as it was that point in January where I'm low on cash so I just used what I had on hand, should of done a build video on him now I think about it, but hayo to late at least Slapdash will have a video
