Hasbro's Graywarp = Not My Skywarp!
I'm not overly keen on the lavender used for the purple, but this mold does look pretty sharp in black. Nicely done!
I think this is a great custom, but I think hasbro's skywarp still has a place in our collections.
That looks amazing. Thanks for making the official one not look good enough now.
It looks way too blue in these pictures. It's more purple in person. I used straight purple paint, no blue at all.
Your paint job looks so crisp and good. The lavender is such a nice contrast to the black.
Now the official looks bad? Impossible!
Nice work! I love the lavender!
Just for the helluvit I pulled out my G1 Skywarp. I actually matched the violet perfectly without even trying. I mixed a dark purple with lighter violet & somehow made a perfect match. I'm blown away! I didn't even put any thought into it.
SOFT LIGHT BULB (more towards yellow):
DAYLIGHT BULB (more towards blue):
It just looked lighter in the original pics.
That's much better.
Very nice! I sorely miss lavender/periwinkle being the standard for Skywarp.
That is great, I love the color.
Huh, I actually didn’t notice the colour till now. Nice Job!
(Kinda unrelated, Hasbro really loves putting Skywarp in multi-packs don’t they?)
Very nice, man. Definitely matches the cartoon and original figure
Looks great! I always preferred Skywarp’s colors over the other seeker figs.
Side note- I’ve had a long standing theory since I was a kid about Skywarp, Thundercracker and Starscream: after the color palettes were chosen, Starscream was picked by Hasbro as the leader of the group because his colors were less appealing vs the other 2.
Skywarp is my favorite Seeker this does him justice. Well done indeed.
I was not too wild about the dark grey color scheme once I saw it in person, but its not too bad. I may have to try my hand at some paint, but I think I would get another starscream or duplicate thundercrackers for that.
This is what it should have looked like.
This may be my backup plan, if I am unable to get the real deal.
