I'm a big fan of weapon incorporation in alt mode where it does not give the alt mode away, whether hidden or designed to look like a legitimate part of the alt mode. I love the Siege line, but by and large they fail at this aspect. Yeah, you can plug the weapons into multiple holes in alt mode, but then it looks like a Lambo with a cannon on the roof. Nice 'disguise'.

So I came across a custom of someone making a spoiler for Sideswipe, though that's all it was, it really had no function in bot mode, and it involved 3D printed parts which he's no longer selling.

So, being the lazy, half-assed individual I am, I just dug around my old weapon/accessory bin and found the old Wedge/Landfill waist piece, which fits perfectly but is a but lumpy and un-aerodynamic to be a spoiler. But damn if it doesn't fit perfectly and makes an...adequate gun...of sorts. 20200123_151516.jpg 20200123_151507.jpg

So I'm here, asking my betters for suggestions on how to improve the look of this (I do have a Dremel) and what paints to use.

I'd say just paint the cannons silver.
    Looks pretty good :thumbs2:
And if you add a 5 mm peg to the middle of the back of the shield you can use it as an arm cannon-shield in 'bot mode, too.

5 mm post already there, that's another factor that makes the piece such a good fit. I just need to get it more spoiler-looking. 20200124_073712.jpg

I dig it. Turn it around and add a rubberband, can become an arm mounted crossbow.

Recognized I lacked both the skill and ambition to do a good job of Dremeling this into a more spoiler-like shape, so just went with some sloppily applied black paint.

I wouldn't say it makes a 'good' jet pack, but it does plug in there too.

Why not? To me it looks pretty cool. Just add some red details in the sunk in/lowered areas and maybe some silver for small details and it's perfect. Two effect parts to act as jet flames et viola... ;)
