These files are now available for purchase over on Etsy

Siege Shockwave Hearts of Steel Upgrade Armour

This is the first of my projects to be made available in file form, but others will hopefully be made available soon

Final Update: Project complete. After one minor print fail I have finally got all the parts printed and assembled and I couldn't be happier with the results. The parts all fit on fairly snugly though the left forearm is a tad loose but nothing a tiny bit of floor polish cant fix.

The spark armour style vehicle mode holds together fairly well and while doing all the detailing was a pain I think it has paid off in the end. More photo's available in the comments

Update 2: getting very close. I'm printing the last couple of parts for the backpack now. I've ordered a new darker purple filaments so I'll aim to reprint it in full in the darker colour once it the filament arrives.

However, despite the colour I'm really happy with how he is coming along, I may tweak the boat forearm but overall really happy. Vehicle photos hopefully tomorrow

Update: all vehicle mode critical parts have now been designed. What do people think? I'm trying to decide if I need to do bits for the midriff, waist and thighs or not
    IMG_20200305_092301.jpg

So an idea I posted about yesterday that I am now full steam ahead on is this. Siege Shockwave is a skinny boy, and his default armour is really crap. However given the abundance of ports I figure it would be fairly easy to create a new set of armour for him, so this I the plan

The armour will peg on, and when detached if will assemble into the hearts of steel vehicle mode. I've been testing sizes and tolerances on components, and hopefully by the end of the week I'll have all the parts scaled and roughly designed, just needing surface detailing

Nice! Quick question: how are you planning on having the chest piece connect?

Now that's an awesome way to take advantage of Siege Shockwave's armor gimmick feature. :D

So will only the armour form the alt mode or will Shockwave still be inside of it?

There is a port on his abdomen, Ill have a pair of hooks around under the shoulder and then have a tab to peg into shockwave's abs

The armour will form the alt mode. Shockwave's existing engineering doesn't really facilitate an integrated solution much as I would like to make one

So I'm trying to get the proportions and attachment just right before I do any surface detailing. I think I'm getting there
