Hi. So, I was scouting shapeways for some neat stuff. I wasn't intending on buying anything, I just like to see what people have done, but then i saw these parts by Ariels customs. I was inspired to take my broken generations selects Nightbird and turn her into Shatter from the Bumblebee movie. I haven't gotten the parts from shapeways as of now, but I decided to make a start on it anyway. You can see the feet through the hole in the front, which I tried to make look better by painting part of the bottom of the feet silver. I also included a mock-up "hovercraft mode" Also here she is next to another custom movie bot I made: Now I need to start working on a Dropkick to go alongside her.... any ideas which mold would work for him?
A Nice Start, for Dropkick if you want to stick with Siege/Earthrise, I would recommend the Ironhide mold, Sideswipe, or Prowl.
So I've ordered the parts, now it's just the long wait. I'm going to see if I can acquire a Siege Crosshairs and see what I can do with him in regards to making a Dropkick. If it doesn't turn out well, then I will probably just get the studio series car Dropkick, and just use him. I've had my eyes on him anyway.
It's the head that turns me off of the Prowl mold, and I think that crosshairs head looks like it could work pretty well as Dropkick, I'll take the Prowl mold into consideration.
This is so cool. I can't wait to see it finished. But for Dropkick, I'd personally love to see him made out of Spinister. But I have a feeling that Crosshairs will also work
As you ordered Crosshairs anyway, I suggest to get Springer and swap his head with Crosshairs'. Might be the perfect movie inspired Generations Dropkick.
