I posted some shots in the Siege thread, but didn't do a proper custom thread for it.

While i truly enjoy the Siege styling for Optimus, my tinker addiction had me going to town on this mold.

    Work done:
    • Took the stacks, grill, bumper and air horns from the Hollywood Rides Optimus. Same exact scale!
    • Cut the roof and repositioned the upper lights. Added the airhorns.
    • Did loads of sanding and fitting to get the new grill and bumper to fit. Seriously, it wasn't easy.
    • Cut down the arm swing pieces to accomodate the bumper ends, then filled gaps.
    • Added side mirrors.
    • Added panels to the upper arms to seal up the back when transformed.
    • Filled in most of the 5mm sockets. I just didn't like them.
    • Lots of paint details, as well as some industrial quality vinyl for durability.

He looks great, like an official product. Couldn't have told you it was a custom if I didn't already know!:thumb

Looks great! The Seige Prime mold is one of my absolute favorite Hasbro version of Prime. The alt mode is the only thing holding it back

I think you should thin your paints a little more.

The silver did get a bit rough in a few spots, but that had more to do with the plastic than the paint itself.
I do know how to thin paints and layer accordingly, but I admittedly hate using metallics.

Well, understandable. Metallics suck major balls.

I'd liked to seen the wheels swapped over as well. Still, nice job.

Wow man! This is hot. You took way more chances and it came together beautifully. Kinda/fully am jealous. :D  Moving the roof windows that far back looks great in alt mode and completely fixes his back now since it sits so high on his back/shoulders and makes for a better profile.

Damn! That is so well done. For a second, I couldn't tell what was done to the figure. Very nice.

Y'know, I was re-thinking what you asked about the wheels from the hollywood Op and transferring them to Seige Op. At least for the front, you could dremel a small pinhole through the Hollywood tires big enough to get Seige's pin through them to hold it in place to still allow for spinning. I didn't want to do it because I didn't want to mar the rims at all but looking at both of the sets of tires, it wouldnt really be noticeable.

Still considering it, and have the wheels sitting on my workbenches taunting me.

:D . I actually have a spare Seige Optimus now. Maybe I'll take the plunge and try it so neither of our actual Primes have an accident.

Now that's an awesome Optimus. If the thighs and crotch piece were white instead of Grey he'd be perfect!
