Hey, what red paint did you use that matches the paint on Megatron so perfectly? I, uh, might be in the market for some myself. My Megatron's upper arm paint got a little messed up when I was removing the battle damage paint - that red paint comes off much easier than the paint I actually wanted to take off. I didn't even rub it or anything - the 91 percent alcohol just dripped down and made lighter colored blotches where a full coat of paint used to be. It's not really that noticeable, but if I'm eventually going to buy a reprolabel set for him, I might as well fix the paint too while I'm at it.

And do you also have a technique for getting the paint off his helmet? Because I don't want the same accident to happen to my Megatron's beautiful shiny face.

Cover Megatron's face with masking tape as best you can, be sure to get the tape completely against the corners and use more than one layering, then while holding the head upside down, rub a cue-tip soaked with isopropyl alcohol over his bucket helmet as long as it takes to remove the battle damage paint from his head. Once it's all gone, don't remove the masking tape until the alcohol has completely evaporated.

I used q-tips for Megatron so nothing went anywhere it didn't need to. The red, I just repainted it all so it would match.

Is there any at all remote chance of making those Sideswipe stickers available? The red hood sticker REALLY completes the alt mode.

I made them in Microsoft Publisher, I don't know if saving it as an image would maintain the same size but I can give it a try tomorrow when I get to work. I printed it on a full page Avery label paper.

How exactly did you use the alcohol to remove the "battle damage"? I tried using it with q-tips and almost nothing has come off

Patience is key. It took about 3 minutes for the damage to start coming off on my copy (not including the legs, those were much harder) with 91% isopropyl alcohol. When you start feeling like it'll never come off, that means you're getting close. Good luck!

Also, switch q-tips when you see the cloth starts to turn grey. That means it's absorbed too much paint and it's time to start fresh with a new one.

The symbols come right off...I did the same thing to my Seige Meg and Prime. I left Megatrons symbol...there was no damage around it, but Primes had to go. I just replaced it with a new one.

He's on eBay and Facebook. His Facebook page was the very first thing Google brought up.

    Two questions

1 does anyone know is 70% isopropyl alcohol work?

2 how did you remove the part on OP's truck mode?

    70% is too weak.

I removed the roof through trial and error, so you don't have to: There's a single pin in the roof that holds those rectangle headlights in that you can remove. I still did some cutting.
