Commissioned Optimus from Magnus, because the customer liked Magnus' mold much more for Optimus than the actual Siege Optimus.
Has a bit of weathering to match with the siege style, but last attached pic shows him clean, before weathering effects.

I disagree about it being silly at all though. The customer felt Magnus had a much more traditional Optimus Prime look than the more Cybertron Prime look of the actual Siege Optimus retool of this mold (shown below), and I very much agree. They are very different figures, and he preferred this for his Optimus.

And no, he didn't ask me to do anything with the armor.

So cool, But I am bothered at the armor bits not being used... Perhaps they'll use the armor from the actual set, but then will the buyer add the Magnus armor to the other Optimus? I don't know and the question is killing me!!!

 

Hah well maybe I can set your mind at east by telling you the boss told me to keep the extra stuff and it will undoubtedly get used for something at some point. He has a G1-style gun for this Prime too so I get to keep the weapons as well.
I have lots of boxes of fodder for custom work, and things are always getting used one way or another.

Honestly I do like this look for prime much better than what we’re getting from hasbro, not that I don’t like the whole galaxy convoy look we’re getting, I think it’s nice to have some older transformers shows and media get recognised but this custom definately blows that one outta the water. I might consider doing this custom someday in the near future

I don’t know about you, but the galaxy upgrade prime for me, I think the chest sticks out a fair bit, and the way it’s sculpted kinda makes it worse I don’t quite know how to describe it properly though. the new IDW comics do make this look a lot better though so I’m pretty conflicted between this custom and the actual release

That ‘inner magnus’ Prime Has such a great stocky look to him-Beefy without looking fat. He’s a real treat to play with. And poses well too. Too bad you couldn’t fix the cab mode so it doesn’t look like 2 arms sticking out the back...

 

I love how people are just asking for the delta Magnus armour even though this was a commission that didn’t specify to paint that armour, lmao
