Hasbro China has officially released the Titans Return Siege On Cybertron boxset in China. It is not exclusive to any retailers so it can be bought from Taobao shops online who sell official Hasbro toys. I just received mine for a total of 620 yuan (93 usd) including shipping.



If you are looking for one on Taobao you can search for the boxset by its Chinese product name 变形金刚金典系列之力量套装 which interestingly translates to "Transformers Classics Line Strength Set". The boxset comes with an extra set of instructions in Chinese, and on these sheets Siege on Cybertron is translated as 塞伯坦围城, literally "Cybertron besieged".





It is such an awesome set of toys, and I am glad it is being released outside of BBTS and not exclusive to any retailer in China. Scalpers were having a field day selling this set for 2000 yuan and upwards before this official release. As is the case with the other boxset, Chaos on Velocitron, which was never released in mainland China. But I was lucky to enough to secure the Chaos set with the help of TFW2005 friend at retail price from overseas, thanks a lot Platium!



These boxsets are really well-executed ideas, awesome value from Hasbro!

 

Where I am at, these were made available in both general retail as well as specialty shops.

One of the retailers even had these up for storewide discount last weekend (less 20% off SRP).

Plus the amount of people (online sellers) peddling these on the local e-market place.

Very cool, I just now secured/placed a preorder at bbts. Just on a whim decided to look the item up, guess some people will start dropping their preorder now if they can get it sooner from China.

Never got into combination wars or titan return outside an occasional character, but absolutely live the TT version of power master Prime and the clone figures.

 

Man, I've been constantly refreshing bbts for the past few days and nothing... I don't really appreciate store exclusives

 

These sets really are fantastic. Hasbro has out Botconned Botcon. Five fantastic figures for 1/3 of the price.

Please, Hasbro, don't stop giving us these semi-obscure characters in affordable box sets.

 

Pure luck on my part and I would not be surprised if I got an email later saying they over sold lol.

Hasbro has really upped their game. I hope they do more boxsets like these.

 

I dunno if I consider the rodimus and thunderwing titans to be "figures". I would refer to them more as accessories. Also Magnus Prime being a nearly identical repaint of Takaras Ginrai with a blue crottch doesnt really count as being a Botcon style repaint. They should have gone for the Fire Guts deco. Other than that, they are great sets and comparable to what Botcon has given us in the past.

 

So true, this is Metalhawk done right. And soon with the POTP pretender shell, done perfect.

 

Still only want pounce. Nothing else really screams \"cool\" like he does

When will it be released in EUROPE??????

 

I missed the pre-order on BBTS and wasn't stoked at the prospect of paying a 50% markup over MSRP for it... so this is pretty awesome  

 

They're still figures, they're just small ones. The boxsets include one figure of every size class. Titan Masters are a size class of figures.

The Magnus Prime is BotConnish in the sense that Takara's Ginrai was never released in the US. The only real change from Takara is the blue crotch, but it has massive mold AND deco changes from the US Optimus Prime mold.

Metalhawk is a great redeco.

Pounce is an entirely new mold!

Agree they're out-BotConning BotCon.

 

not really. the toys are a better value, but hasbro is not giving us a good EVENT like Botcon was.
