Mail was super early today! Whoo Hoo! Just got my set.
It's because of Pounce having a beast mode.
And to slowly drive Beast Wars fans on this board insane.
Great.... Now sell me your POUNCE and I'll be doing the same moves as your avatar. LOL!
I got my set in yesterday. I'm really happy with Metalhawk and Pounce. I'll be selling the rest off.
I've just got to get this off my chest. Those feet on Magnus Prime have got to be one of the worst engenering designs I've ever seen on a Transformer. They look like crap. They're overly complicated to transform for just being feet. And worst of all, they don't adequately support the weight of the figure. Those feet kill the entire figure for me. I love the new cab and torso parts. I initially didn't like the new arms because of how the pannels fold but after getting it in hand, I do like them better. Everything Takara changed on this mold was for the better except the feet. Given that Hasbro has said they aren't releasing Godbomber, I really wish they had given this figure Power Master Optimus Prime feet. If the blue was the same shade, I might have swapped parts to give him the PM Optimus feet. But the blue doesn't match.
Sorry dude, keeping him and the rest. But you can still move like my avatar if you want.
Why not just swap the cab and chest plate onto a hasbro pmop?
I did some part swapping between Magnus and Ginrai to get a close to perfect Powermaster Optimus Prime as possible, with the white waist and extra silvery trailer
Figured you would just wishful thinking is all. I'll get'em eventually.
The reds match even less than the blues, plus you lose all the silver for the gray/tan on PMOP.
Hope u do get one.
Yeah, what Knightsword said.
Does anyone have any ideas for how the pins holding the waist piece to the back piece can be knocked out? It's usually simple to knock pins out but they're positioned in a way that you can't just knock them straight back out. I have an idea for a parts swap I might be satisfied with if I could swap out the waist.
Mine are also set for delivery today! Hurray! I was playing with the other three clones last night, can't wait to get Pounce in hand finally. Tidalwave looks better than expected from the photos I've seen so far, especially the one Orio sent me with him and Curse Thrust... but I already sold mine, so I won't have him... I do have my original still though.
Mine arrived today...just gotta get off of work!
Mine arrived this afternoon.
Very glad to have it, it's practically the first time that I've wanted every figure in the box set, but here we are.
I just checked the status on my Siege set and I thought I would have gotten it delivered by now or even tomorrow since it got sent out on the 16th, it says the 26th WTF...This fedex to post office seems to have gotten worse.
Don't think I posted that
I FINALLY got the set in, and I have two questions.
1. Did anyone else find the instructions on Magnus' legs to be really vague? I wound up just looking at one of the final pictures and fiddling with the feet until it looked like that.
2. HOW THE EVER LASTING GOBSTOPPERS ARE YOU SUPPOSED TO ATTACH GODBOMBER IN TRAILER MODE?!?!?!? You can't do it like the instructions say, because you can't get a good grip to squeeze the parts back together without Godbomber falling out, and you can't brute force the plug in because the joint on Godbombers end just moves out of position. WHAT THE HECK AM I SUPPOSED TO DO?
Absolutely. I figured it out just based on logic on where and how the feet had to go, but even then I had to double check because there was very little ground clearance so I thought maybe I had something off.
If I'm understanding your question correctly, I managed to knock those pins out on my Hasbro PMOP using a soldering iron to heat them on the large side for about a minute or so depending on the strength of your iron (mine needed 2 minutes). Then use a hammer and punch on the narrow inside. You will not be able to hit it straight on, but the heated pin in the plastic should make it more pliable and it should pop out easily without fear of breaking the part. I recommend disassembling as much of the figure as possible before attempting this. Just heat the pins back up to re-install; the plastic will melt back into proper shape around the pin as it slides back in with light pressure.
Good news is it's back to saying arrival Thursday. Bad news it it's somehow left my state after spending 3 days sitting in a town a couple hours away. Again, ugh
