Quick leg/hip fix for Siege Magnus. I returned one Magnus with really loose leg movement only to find the second copy of Magnus to be the exact same way. Take out 3 screws on his butt and remove that piece. Check if the teeth are warped like mine. Because of this they weren't catching the ratchet correctly. Not only that, but the bottom piece of the teeth was warped as well not providing the right tension on the ratchet. I used a hair dryer for about 30 seconds to heat it up, pressed it to get the teeth aligned and ran it under some cold water. Then I did the hair dryer again and put it on an eraser I had so that it could cool evenly. Used some styrene pieces and glued those inside so the teeth piece wouldn't warp on the bottom and so it would provide the right tension on the ratchet. Now he's back together and much tighter. Hope this helps if you have the same issue
my first copy was had loose ratchets. I opened mine up as well and had the same warped teeth (grey part) I was able to reverse them and turn them around to use the other side. It worked for me but the figure had some other issues so exchanged it for another. the new one has better ratchets but the side movement is a bit too loose. I may just open him up just to check anyway and use your method if necessary I'll tighten those when I get around to them. I also bought a back up magnus when he went on sale on amazon. I have yet to open that one to check... i need to get on that.
