Agreed. Fans have wanted to be able to recreate that scene in The Rebirth for ages. If Hasbro creates a Scorponok I hope he's a titan the excact same size and height as Fort Max. Otherwise there's no point.
But I also hope we get commander class toys of both one day for the Marvel fans.
And that Scorponok could then be retooled into a Black Zarak at a good size to fit with Takara God Ginrai.

 

Oh sure I wouldn't mind a Leader Scorponok and Fortress Maximus. But Titan Scorponok is long overdue. If Trypticon can be that size, so can Scorponok. He's a significant Decepticon Leader with a lot more going for him than Trypticon has ever had.

My fingers are crossed for propped Energon Combiners and real Minicons. Sure I like the Micro Masters, but the gimmick is weak right now.

 

If Hasbro abandons base mode, at least for this eventual Leader class, bot mode should keep G1 design with headmaster head and G1 claw hands, same for beast mode.Do you think that could be possible?

 

Can someone explain why they don’t make a power armor trailer to go with voyager prime also? I mean I can almost guarantee that if they made it $20-$40 with a roller people would be in for it

 

A: Thats what im saying, if there isnt plans for a leader megatron then the leader counterpart for optimus could be someone else, in this case, Scorponok
B: Back then he was an ultra class, which is what we are getting with the new Command class
C: Just the fact we got a unicron trilogy figure is what gets me excited.

commander class is not the old ultra, it is bigger than the old ultra. Old ultras were about the same size as prime wars leaders, jetfire and the commander class is considerably larger

Edit: here is an image that shows energon Scorponok next to rid01 megatron (an ultra) and mmc hexatron (roughly the equivalent of a prime wars leader). You can see that the ultra is considerably smaller than a leader only coming anywhere close thanks to the tail

 

Also, that's not how character selection works. Just because there's a Leader class Prime, or Megatron, in a line doesn't mean we'll get the other figure. I can't even remember when that was true, if ever. We had a leader Megatron in CW but no leader Prime. We had a Leader Prime in TR but no Megatron, We had ANOTHER Leader Prime in POTP (two, technically) but no Megatron (BW/BM Megatron would have worked really well with the line's "evolution" gimmick, now that I think about it).

 

Another idea: Thunderwing would be a great retool for this Skyfire!

 

Yeah I don’t get where people are getting the idea that Commander Class is like the old Ultra Class. It’s more analogous with the Supreme class (like the original Optimal Optimus or Air Attack Primal) than Ultra.

Yea I think supreme was Cheetor, air attack primal, unicron, Primus and energon omega supreme. Super was optimal Optimus, rid 01 Optimus prime, rid01 ultra Magnus, armada/energon/cybertron Optimus prime and energon megatron/galvatron

 

I could definitely see that if they were to go for his IDW incarnation. Especially seeing as that version's secondary robot mode would easily fit into the "armoring up" trend WFC seems to have thus far. Though it's possible we won't see any retools of Jetfire until the second part of WFC seeing as he's being released at the tail end of Siege. Kind of like how we didn't get Thrilling 30 Jetfire's retools until Combiner Wars.

 

Aaaaaaaaaaaand now we also have Armada Prime coming.

 

Welp, we're getting the Star Convoy I wanted after all, just not as a Siege Magnus retool.

 

Thing is, it's the lack of size that's been responsible for so many people passing on the Seige line, so I can't really agree with you there.

 

Those people are missing out. Siege is the best line in a good while.
