I'm sure there's some legitimate reason to not showing the whole figure off all at once. Maybe there's a risk to leaking/showing a lot at once. I don't really know. But that doesn't make it any less frustrating. I completely agree with not wanting to wait.

 

Money saved for me. Neat they are doing a throwback but Id rather them come up with a new design instead. My wallet is glad there is another easy pass from this line as most everything I plan to buy.

 

On another note, here are some interesting observations I've made from looking over the three images we have. I'm sure some of these might have been brought up by someone else before now, but I'm just pointing out some things I've noticed.

1. I highly suspect that the first in hand Super Mode picture we got is misstransformed. Just by looking at the image and comparing it to Siege Magnus, the chest plate looks off. Like its not put into place all the way.

2. The long pegs on the top of the super mode guns, in addition to their placement on the guns, gives me a good feeling that Optimus will be able to have a solid hold on the guns in certain poses. This is actually something I wish the original Cybertron Optimus did, and I'm excited to see that might be a possibility here.

3. The transformation scheme for this figure is clearly very different from the original. This can be seen by the fact that the guns are swapped in truck mode, and how the top side of the guns are facing up in Super Mode instead of the bottom. With that in mind, I really hope that they'll still be able to fold up on the back as they often were in the show.



4. There's no way to tell at the moment, but I doubt he'll have the huge missile rack on the backpack like he did in the show (see above picture). I know that from the one angle we've seen the super mode there's no way to tell either way, but just by looking at the truck mode and thinking about all the ways this could work, I find it unlikely.

Anyway, that's just some stuff I noticed. All in all, I'm super excited to get more images and information on this figure.

 

Let's hope the flight mode is preserved in this. I am so into this right now!

Hell yes!!!!! This is what I have been hoping for as well. One of my favorite characters and the T30 is my favorite figure. This needs to happen. Here is to hoping.

 

Just waiting for the inevitable early release in Singapore.  

 

I hope the wings don't just "hang" out like that in alt mode. They don't look like they attach to anything in the pic.

 

Ill say im not sure im really feeling this one. To me there isnt really a need to update the old Cybertron toys since they were all very screen accurate and a lot thicker and more sturdy than modern transformers. This comes off as a commendable homage at best and an inferior update at the worst.

 

So for those looking for a flying fire truck, I think I might have some insight. The following image has been marked up (poorly) by yours truly, and I will attempt to illustrate my exploration of his design further with words. So in my pic, I outlined in blue the portion that I believe must move straight down from the body of the truck, pivoting in such a way as to lock in place pointing downward as depicted by the black outline. What appears to be a hinge has been circled in green - if this is accurate, then when the “wing” in the new downward position this “hinge” would be situated so that that downward facing piece could hinge up and out from here, locking into place as a wing.

I’m feeling pretty confident about this.

I love when people do detective work about unreleased toys

 

Fair enough. I should've thought that all the way through before posting it. Basically, mental word vomit at its finest. That said, it's (the reuse syndrome) driving people away, though. And a good portion of G1 didn't have a ton of repaints or remolds. Wheeljack, Hound, Sunstreaker, and Sideswipe, to name a few. (I'm not talking about the countless Takara pre-Transformers. I'm talking after Hasbro got it.) I see way too many posts on how people can't stand the repaints and the remolds anymore. Admittedly, CW was really nothing but repaints and remolds. It's one thing to have a new mold and reuse it in another line as a filler bot to pad a case here and there, like when they reused Ultra Class Jetfire in one of the many crazy movie lines, but CW was the breaking point. Heck, Superion and Menasor have repaints IN the same combiner as well as the wave. The white Prime wave was nothing but reuses with no new molds. People burnt out pretty quickly and I guess it made them take notice of how much is reused and what's not really original.

G1 was fine with Hot Rod and company until they started making them into Targetmasters. It's just gotten worse as time goes on.

I don't expect them to go all the way the other way, heck even 3rd party is doing repaints/remolds at this point, but more originality and a lot less reusage would go a long way to quelling the justified complaints some have been having. I don't know, guess it's too much to ask.

You're not whining, it's garbage troll behavior, and you have every right to be angry. The guy's a douchebag. And yes, I saw the post about giving him publicity, good, bad whatever. I know I'm giving him publicity, but I at least get to call him a douchebag in the meantime and it feels good. It's crappy, he's done this twice, now. It's not cute or funny, it's just a d!ck move.

My, oh my. Those animation errors are rife with figure ideas. *smh* No...yikes.

I guess some people are worried figures are getting cut or waves getting dropped because of past releases hitting the can instead of the shelves, but this is indeed looking like a done deal, so I'm not sure why people are getting so bent out of shape. Honestly, the mentality behind this is the same "hive mind" that's coming out of the woodwork as of late and it's getting increasingly difficult to keep the ignore button at rest. Not just here, but in Facebook groups as well. People are losing their minds, the world over, and it's getting to the point where the other people are thinking of becoming hermits to escape it all.

Huh. Thanks to your efforts there, I think there's a flight mode. There's the robot mode picture we've already seen, we know he has the super robot mode and now we're seeing the truck mode, but if you look at the pixels you can see the nose of the truck from another angle and that has to be the flight mode being showcased. I mean, sure, they could show the truck mode from both angles on the packaging but it seems needlessly pointless, really. Until I see more, I can't be sure, so I won't set it in stone in my mind, but I'm getting a pretty good feeling here.

 

If anything I'm suddenly really wanting an MP figure of Galaxy Convoy, too bad MakeToys won't be releasing theirs anytime soon...

 

I don't think this new one can replace the original but OTOH, I dig this new more playable version of the original I already own. Plus, him and Magnus will scale together which is pretty cool since I'm assuming they're roughly the same size? It'll atone for my sins of what I did to my Car Robots/RiD Ultra Magnus in an mess of a custom attempt. If I could take a mulligan and have that one back, I would not have messed with that one.

 

Wow some of you guys need to chill the hell out. Before implying others are sheep and talking much but saying little, look at your own posts. And also this thread is about SIEGE leader Prime, further posts on tangents and off topic will be deleted. Not surprisingly it's the same folks usually going off topic.

I'm puzzled as to why we haven't seen clear shots yet since the cat is out the bag with the clear shot of the vehicle mode. Should be no harm showing both robot modes in color now.

And the more hate you guys throw TonTon review the more people outside of these boards think he is an underdog. He can probably laugh at you throwing advertising dollars in your face saying "I told you so". Hell he hasn't called any of you out on video yet here some of you are calling him out. To a casual Transformers fan, how does that make you look? At the end of the day he's getting more clicks, more views, more as revenue without having to be antagonistic at all.

Anyways this thread is about the new SIEGE leader Prime not the reviewers.

He might be under an NDA by Hasbro Asia. They've allowed other Chinese reviewers to post teasers prior to lifting their NDA's and posting early reviews. It's happened before.

Not surprising that Hasbro is shortening these lines.  Considering the prices of these things.  Two leader class figures are over a hundred dollars now.  And the fact that we don\'t have TRU for toys to shelf-warm for months on end.  I\'m sure Walmart & Target with their limited shelf space would like to squeeze more variety of toys into their small toy section and have them in and out as quickly as possible.  

 

I kind of like it this way, makes it easier to collect early in the year.

 

Waist swivel is already a win in my book. Sadly i don't think the waist can turn while holding his canons/weapons attached to the Wing backpack.

 

Do you have WFC-S Ultra Magnus? If the Guns are attached to the top assembly and there is clearance, it's a full range swivel
