Just realized the super mode has *two* sets of fake windshields. The ones on his chest and then the fake cab on his shoulders.

No complaint, just an interesting design choice they went with to ensure accuracy.

$49.99 for a figure I have no affinity for? Easy pass. But he does look cool. I have to admit that.

Have you seen his other videos? TonTon has all of the latest Studio Series and Siege figures and seems to have them well before we're bound to get them stateside.

Just last week, my friend asked me, \" does Energon/Cybertron ever repurpose their designs?\' And my answer was \'no, probably never\'

The size comparison between this and the original will be ridiculous. Otherwise, his shoulders look to sit too low.

Wow! Seeing this instantly brought back memories of “Autobots! Decepticons!” and “Our worlds are in danger!”

He can’t wait to transform it? Neither can I! I want to see how this looks in all modes.

Wonder if it comes with the leg guns. Ultra Magnus has them, but I don’t see them here. Maybe Prime has to borrow from Magnus to complete the look.

At least this is a cheaper option for a Galaxy Force Prime for those of us who didn’t get the original.

Well I appreciate the fact that Galaxy Force is getting some love. However I think it's time to pull the trigger on the original toy. C'mon Maketoys, where's those Galaxy Manus and Despotron?

They even molded in the grooves between the shoulders and the chest where the backpack tabbed in. I wonder if they'll make a Wing Saber to go with him?

Also, I know it was probably taken in a hurry, but if you believe with confidence that you have the first picture ever of a Transformer on the internet, wouldn't you take the time to at least pose it and make sure that it was tabbed together properly?

I'm definitely getting this as a companion piece to my original. Energon OP was my first Transformer, but Cybertron OP is the one I took everywhere, had on a birthday cake, and still keep in a drawer under my bed because I don't want to put him into storage.

Of course he won't be as good as the toy engineered to merge with two other toys from way later in the show, but with lighter plastic he might just be a little easier to stand up.

...seriously, I've reached the point where Siege is probably going to have to be the end of the line for me as a TF collector, and I was hoping I wouldn't have to get another Optimus, but...***damn you, Hasbro.

I was born in the early 80's, so G1 was my thing. But Cybertron was what got me back into collecting. I hope this is a sign of more Unicron trilogy homages.

Wow! Well, I'm glad Siege isn't just G1 pandering, at least. Really cool to see Cybertron Prime in the modern era.
Still, I doubt I'll buy him. But it does open up some nice potential for characters from other series. Still would love to see the RID Car Brothers or Team Bullet Train (really anyone from RID).

Still kinda bothered by the over-abundance of molded detail, though. Do the designers have something against flat surfaces?

Absolutely. One of the best things about this fanbase (as this thread demonstrates) is how diverse people’s preferences and tastes are, while being equally legitimate. It’d be fantastic if they could take the best of each era, while occasionally highlighting things that were perhaps unjustly overlooked or could have been executed better.

Personally, I grew up with G1, got back into it with Beast Wars, and then dropped out of the fandom more or less entirely for 15 years plus. So Siege is both an opportunity for me to enjoying new interpretations of things I already loved, and a chance to discover things that I didn’t experience first time around. I’m thrilled about this release, and I’d love to see more Unicron Trilogy, RID, Beast Wars etc. as long as it works with the overall aesthetic of the line.

Based on the Bumblebee movie, Cyberverse, Siege, etc. I think this WILL be the way moving forward.
