I'll need to see more before I can make a call on this. I like they way it looks and I enjoyed Cybertron Optimus. So this is on my radar but the vecheal and/ or not mode could make or break this toy. There's also the price, for me, $50 for a Voyager with armor is a bit much, and it's the only thing keeping me from Magnus.

 

Btw don't we need a new tab in the news section soon? For Armada/onwards. Since this figure might well be in the Siege line but heck confusing since this is clearly Armada Prime. Well the beefed up one. Not so knowledgable about this era of formers.

 

That’s kinda my reaction too. I like it when the redesigns stick closer to G1 but I can appreciate when they do updates to non-G1 stuff.

Right now I’m not feeling this but maybe I’ll change my mind over time when there’s more, better pics.

Agreed. Even though I'm 43 and G1 was my hook, there are things I love about every single era and I would LOVE to see the line just be a melting pot for things from each era.

I wish more of the line was like this instead of "Here's a Sideswipe that just looks like old Sideswipe, except he has an uglier vehicle mode than a real lamborghini."

Imagine if Megatron's cannon could have an actualy cool shape instead of a doofy black pipe or if Starscream didn't need tohave a horrible cheaty transformation just to keep it G1 cartoon accurate by adding more details from his TFCybertron design into the G1 mix.

 

I hope more AEC homages are in the works. Cybertron Hot Shot from Hound, obviously. I’d love Armada Wheeljack from Sideswipe, though what would they call him if they’re integrating this all into G1? His Japanese name, Rampage, doesn’t help much either.

Either the shoulder pads need to be bigger or the chest needs to be remolded to be smaller. Like Magnus the apron head piece makes the supermode look odd.
