I really hope Astrotrain comes along. I\'d prefer commander class but what can you do.

Just had an interesting thought given talk here but would a skytread repaint as Blitzwing be on the cards? Mould looks very like him and if it were recoloured it\'d look quite like him. Obviously it wouldn\'t be technically a triple changer but it\'d fill the gap with both modes included.

 

Maybe in Selects, but not in Siege proper, since Siege characters are confirmed to be retaining their legacy gimmicks. Blitzwing had a triple changer gimmick, rather than a Duocon gimmick. Blitzwing would also be about 16cm in Siege scale, too tall to be represented with the Flywheels mold anyway. =/

 

This design clearly inspired TR Astrotrain's transformation mechanics. But clearly not his aesthetics.

 

Well, they nailed the phuq out of Springer and Jetfire. So this Astrotrain is going to be awesome!

 

Man some of these Siege figures really make me think that they've already planned out the MP versions and they're testing the engineering on these Siege figures. Jetfire and Springer are the best examples of this to me right now.

I wish Takara would bring back Worlds Smallest Transformers, they'd be awesome compliments to a lot of Leader/Titan Class bases. I still regret not buying a lot of them soon after they came out when many could be had for cheap.

 

I suppose voyager height plus accessories? I would be fine with that.
Maybe a set of boots, gauntlets and armor (that references his alternate chest) could become spaceship boosters and micromaster sized train wagons.

 

Well I think it's cool...hmmm...didn't pick up the Titans Return version since that figure didn't impress me much. Still have the Classics version, so if the humor are true see some images I might replace it....maybe.

 

Leader Class Astrotrain!!!

Let's hope. I love Optimus but gawdamn, too many. We need more bigger badder Decepticons.

 

I\'m hoping this one doesn\'t do that thing where they have the train mode turn into a combination of an engine and a train car. The train mode always looks too small and narrow. We\'ve yet to see a modern take on Astrotrain who transforms like he did in G1.

 

Perhaps he'll have something like space shuttle fuel tanks that transform into train carriages.

 

Okay this sounds great but I would prefer if he is commander class. He’d really fit being a giant taxi. Although I do realise that’d ruin the voyager consistency. But he’d be so cool with jetfire! Ahh. Whatever.

That’s an interesting theory. And I’d be leading to believe it. Would be promising to see in the line up.

 

This is a stupid choice because we already have a Cybertronian mode Astrotrain. Unless it transforms into an Earth shuttle and an Earth train this is a waste.

And for those wondering, this isn't a case of guess work like with the Studio Series of what the figure will be. The listing states clearly and boldly ASTROTRAIN.

 

They could be doing an Astrotrain so they can make a Sentinel Prime out of him.

A big orange train that's compatible with Omega Supreme.

 

Maybe if it is cartoon colors. Astrotrain wasn't a favorite of mine, so the TR version is fine, since he's the same size as Blitzwing and Octane. I'm happy with TR Blitzwing, though. It's pretty close to the original toy in looks.

 

Awesome, I\'m down with a new Astrotrain though I almost wish he was going to be Commander class. My wallet would be happier with a Leader class though.

 

Mmm, commander class would\'ve been an interesting use for a character like Astrotrain, given his role of flying other Decepticons around, but leader class would still give us a nice toy, maybe with those rocket booster/train car armor pieces somebody mentioned. I\'m kinda just happy we\'ll get non-Megatron leader class \'cons.
