I'm 1000% down for a new Blitzwing, if the vehicle modes resemble the cartoon.

 

I’d love a big ol’ Astrotrain, but I expect he’d be some half assed bullet train bollocks, not a proper locomotive.

 

I don't want to burst anyone's bubble, but I'm guessing that Astrotrain is a mistranslation - as in Astro = Star and Train = Convoy. I'm pretty sure that listing is for this guy - Star Convoy:

 

This is going to be "Cybertronian" so who knows...but it might be closer to flywheels.

 

That's probably for Takara's limited line though where did the listing come from?

 

Here's hoping it's much closer to "Mirage" than "Starscream." Astrotrain getting crap alt modes again would be a real shame.

I just want ONE good large Astrotrain. Don't care if he's not a steam train, don't care if he looks like an actual shuttle. Hastak, please, don't fuck this up.

 

Tonight

 

I thought that TR Astrotrain was fun to transform. The robot mode was pretty nice IMO, the shuttle mode was okay, but flat as hell (probably 'cuz it was Cybertronian, IDK)… but that train mode though... It barely even counts as a train, and that's the reason why he's my favorite G1 Triple-Changer.

With that being said, I am incredibly curious as to what this figure may look like.

 

Gotta love these triple changers...

First we get deluxe Astrotrain and Octane. Then a voyager Blitzwing. All three, but mismatched sizes.

Then we get all three as voyagers! Octane and Blitzwing are great, but of course Astrotrain has a horrible train mode.

And now, what will presumably be a very faithful G1 Astrotrain... and it's yet another different size.
