Edit- I'm not saying she's a retool I was just pointing out she does indeed share parts.

 

They should have reused the PRID Arcee mold that they used for T30 Chromia.

Perhaps because CW repaints included a number of bots that already got the CHUG treatment, e.g. Prowl, Mirage, Sunstreaker, Wheeljack, Ironhide, Smokescreen, Wreck-Gar, Warpath, Rodimus, & Trailbreaker while Greenlight has never gotten a toy at all?

 
 

 

So if she is a combiner, this is big news. That brings us to three of four limbs for Elita Infinite. At this point it seems impossible a fourth wouldn’t be in the wings somewhere.

The Siege Chromia is bad (IMO), but this mold is even worse (again, IMO).

Happy to see we're getting Greenlight, but I was hoping she'd be a different mold. Hopefully we'll get Lancer as well, though it's a bit of a bummer that she'll probably be the same mold as well. But hey, the fact that they'll finally all have official toys is awesome! Also, loving that unique flamey effect piece!

 

Too bad, we need all the fembots but are too lazy to make a new mold.

 

I literally just finished up all my combiner teams today. Then there's this. Looks like I'm not quite done yet.

GIMME DA GREENLIGHT

 

Getting exponentially hyped about Siege Greenlight. I was happy with the new noggin but on second, third, fourth, and fifth look there seems to be waaay more remoulding than I expected!

There's also what appear to be brand new forearms with new elbow details that look like there may be a slight difference in her transformation and car profile, as her hands don't look like they have a wrist transformation joint but do have a little extra material on her forearm "shield"?
Definitely a new chest panel and shins too with distinctive abs and wire detailing instead of the Moonracer/Novastar "shinpads" details.

Despite the fact that she's clearly derived from Moonracer's CAD model, if they had to cut entirely new tooling to make her, she's not a remold. You can't remold a "surface," you either make a new mold or you don't. What we call remolds or retools are figures that mix parts from existing tooling with parts from new tooling. That's it. To my knowledge, there's no in-between states.

(Tfwiki, which is generally pretty good about this stuff, does list Chromia as a remold, though, so maybe there is some parts reuse that I haven't noticed. It's just that if your assertion is correct then she technically isn't one.)
