Trust me those guns need to be hollow, they are heavy as is, and he has a tendency to lean back do to them, I genuinely fear that if those guns were solid, do to the hip design, The poor guy would fall backwards more often than Omega Prime and Mega-dinobot combined do to how back heavy he is already, This is one of the few times I think he had to be hollow in those parts unless they made his hips ratcheted and even then I wouldnt trust how small those ratchets would need to be

 

Also before I forget to mention it again,

the red side piece here, doesnt move, it's that hinge and pin is an artifact from it's premold as Ultra Magnus, where those parts moved, on Galaxy here, that piece is I think glued shut or welded shut, I couldnt get it to move at all,
and You cannot use both Magnus' and Galaxy's Forearm covers at the same time, do to the rectangular peg on both of them
Magnus' armor is missing a rectagular port for the peg to go into, so I am sure, if you mod it, you could get it to work

 

It is hilariously awful that they paint the wheels on the side of the wings that show in robot mode and not in truck mode...

Would make so much more sense to make him look like he has more wheels in, ya know, TRUCK mode, then to have them showing on wings when they aren't in contact with the ground.

Just ridiculous.

 

It makes for a fun homage like CW Armada Megatron but isn’t really a full-fledged update.

 

The fake wheels dont show up in truck mode and are needed for the full homage,

Still better done than one sadly, granted if they did that megatron using siege it might of been slightly better

 

Except those aren’t supposed to be wheels in truck mode. Those are fakes representing the real ones that are at the back that ended up on the wings of the original. He’s not supposed to have that many wheels in truck mode.

 

Look at the legs and the inner robot, they weren’t attempting to make a full homage.

Wheels on the wings arent necessary for an homage imo, just the general shape alongside the right head and chest. I doubt there would be a single complaint if the wheels weren’t there.

 

Honestly the legs look a lot better with those details than the original ones did

 

It certainly looks cool, but it makes me more interested in purchasing the original.

 

I don't even like the Galaxy Force Convoy design, but I also prefer the old toy. Or the new 3rd party toy.

I think the head of the regular prime is different from Magnus's.....the faceplate is wider on Magnus's

It's really a good toy... I dont have any complains about it, sure prime is a little bit fat but I don't think he looks that bad.

For me...I like the fact that it's a classic prime that turns to galaxy prime...not a 100% Galaxy convoy..

IDK. Not convinced yet. The inner figure looks simply fat. Obese. Different chest shape, I suppose. No more flat windows and T-shape emulating pecs and abs?

 

To me he reminds me of Marvel Powermaster Optimus Prime, which to me is awesome.

 

He is like a best hits of several versions of optimus, fat from energon, super mode of cybertron, g1 ified small alt mode of animated with the unpainted siren, g1 toy eyes. Movie verse greebling in areas.
It all leads to a whelming product that makes you go "ok."
