From when I used to live in UK the prices were pretty much the same in numbers. Pretax US = tax inc UK.

So a $20+ tax figure would be £20 which would, depending on exchange rates, sometimes be a crazy difference.

The colors work well on the Targetmaster but did they try to use that in a way that makes sense?

 

Yes. Within the limitations of the mould - legs, arms and gun barrel on same sprue and thus the same colour - it does look rather like Pinpointer, who is on the right in all 3 photos below:

Actually, if you used the dual barreled Aimless version of the mould and swapped the colours used here to black chest & red everything else, you'd get a decent Spoilsport

 

Kinda wish they would have at least remolded Sideswipe's face to have the gritting teeth, now that I'm looking at it....
Also, if it's actually $80US for the two pack, I don't mind.. Give me a bit of Nostalgia from the "old" days of paying $4o for club deluxes. And I feel like this is something right up their alley. Maybe that's why I like it so much lol

It's not $80 it's about $65. That's the euro Price and it's inflated not to directly converted. The price is about $15 more than Leader.

But $82 is not the American price. I'm sure there's lots of complicated conversion rate details as to really why its more expensive there but the bottom line is we already saw the value of this set in another leak.

Its slightly higher than Leader.

If Hasbro were going to start overcharging it would have began with G2 Megatron.

I'm thinking the US price will be $65 going by the UK price. All they seem to do is change the currency symbol when it comes to Transformers in the UK.

The only figure I want out of this set is G2 Sideswipe, so at £65, I guess I'll be passing.

 

$50 US seems a bit much.

... no the price is higher because it's a lower production run, witch means lower return on money spent to make the toys in the set.

If it's $50 US it should.

 

2x deluxes at $20 plus 1x battlemaster at $5 is $45 and add in average markup for exclusives and you get $50, its really not that high
