Just got Siege Skytread and he is glorious. I was so concerned his transformation might annoy me based on earlier pictures, but it absolutely does not.





Vehicles modes are great. The jet is carrying quite a bit of undercarriage, but what jets don’t? The instructions show putting the weapons on either the tank or the jet. Since adding them to the jet leaves the tank as little more than an armored transport I cannot imagine anyone going that route.





Bot mode is where he really shines. They halves lock in very tight, but yet are not annoying to separate. He has incredible articulation. His shoulders in particular are very well done. He has bicep and thigh swivels as well as ankle tilt. His waste does turn, but due to the jet kibble on his back it is very limited, but it’s there.





His guns combine, though I’m not a huge fan of the look.

For those wondering, the Cybertronian text on the back of the box reads “War for Cybertron.”

 

Can he? I don't have my Battletrap handy.

 

That's what I had heard, and it looks like the connector port and tab match up the shape and size of Roadtrap's head to me.

 

Painted weapons, ankle tilt, and no battle damage.... man this thing is beautiful! Thanks for the early photos you lucky duck!

Official release is December so these will start trickling out now'ish if the last two lines are anything to go by.

 

Amazing what decent molded detailing and no battle damage paint can do for a figure. I'm not even interested in the character, and I still think he looks cool.

 

I wonder how he looks next to other previous Generations deluxes.

 

I would love to know where you found it? Also, was there anything else in sight or just a rouge Skytread? Otherwise congrats on a sweet find and figure!
