I was worried about that from pics but I love it in person. It reminds me so much of the original G1 toy, which had a lot of stickers and paint apps. But if someone is a Skyfire fan or just doesn’t have an affinity to the original toy, then I can definitely understand that this might feel too busy.

Yep, same reason for me. I loved the G1 toy and Reprolabels hit that note. If this was an MP, hell no to them, but for my CHUG scale, it's perfect :thumb

Got my Jetfire over the weekend and i have a problem with his battlemask. It just....wont stay on his face. How is it supposed to attach? Im not sure if maybe the spring in his head is too strong or if theres just the slightest bit of difference in plastic thickness so the mask wont grip onto his head or what???

Anyone else experienced or heard of this issue?

yeah, its pretty common i think, i just use a bit of paper on the mask peg for now. best way to fix it would be to take the head apart and use the glue method on the inside of the slot

I've had mine since July from Amazon and i have mine with the battle mask on and haven't had any trouble. This is the first time I've heard of this before. It could be possible a normal problem but i guess i got lucky since mine has had the mask on since July with no problems of it ever coming off. So far the only thing i have is the small guns that attaches to the shield plate that if you bump them they can come off pretty easily so that is basically all I've ever seen. Now those guns coming off its plain to see they don't have a really good push in slot to stick into so that's nothing really i think.

I haven’t been able to get the mask to stay on my copy at all. The chest armor doesn’t stay on very securely either. Not a huge deal as I was planning to display him without those anyways but still annoying.

What's the glue method and how do I take the head apart?

Normally you’d apply glue to the slot, increasing the amount of material and friction on the peg, but with jetfire it will stop the blue bit springing back, so just add a thin coat of glue to the helmet peg, let it cure and it should stay in. This might also make it tricky to store in his chest

has anyone tried to take the red backpack off? It looks like it's held on by two screws just curious to see what it looks like

I don't think anybody's really bothered to because, on top of being accurate, the toy isn't very functional without it, as it's needed to hide his head in vehicle mode.

Re: Starscream, wow I didn't realize how much of his alt mode has NOTHING to do with the bot itself.

How hollow is the backpack once you get it off? I'm thinking about using it to store some lighting with fiber optics piping it out to various places in alt mode. If there's room, that is.

A huge part of it is dedicated to the swing wing, but there's a small box-like area below them (about 3cm deep when enclosed+4 deeper alcoves on the sides, each pair separated by a support wall). Keep in mind of that rectangular divot as it's specifically where part of the nosecone goes in robot mode. The three screws that attach it to the main body also serve in holding it together in addition to the topmost screw. I think the best way to approach it is to drill holes to the side of the pre-existing hole in the body, specifically in the space between the screw hole and the support strut (it has vent-like detail).
