It's never wave 1 that has the goofy case assortments/repacks, so this is mostly unsurprising (but good to know). Can't wait to see what happens by wave 3 (he said both ominously and sadly)
Looking forward to Megatron, Shockwave, Cog, Flywheels and Optimus. But im going to get the whole wave.
...seriously, hasbro, couldn't you have added a fourth micromaster patrol to ameliorate potential shortpack/shelfwarming issues?
Based on the way he transforms in the review video at SEIGE Optimus Video Reviews I'm thinking we probably can't remove those parts. The entire front (other than the cab windows) is attached to the roof parts and ends up on his back. The lower part, possibly, because that just ends up on his arms. EDITED to correct the link to the proper video review
Since some comic shops have voyagers in now, I'm guessing that size class will hit retail first? Then maybe deluxe?
I pulled those myself, but can't read if they're individual figures or the whole assortment. Do you have access to pull the assortment DCPIs? It appears he just pulled them from my thread
I'm not certain what you mean by "Cybertronian parts". If you mean the large additional headlights up top or other aspects that add 'layers' to Prime that other versions haven't included, that's a negative ghost rider. Those parts are part of the mold. The only things that are truly removable are various panels that pop off because they are designed to based on how much stress you put on them (and I'm not sure why you'd want to remove those) and the weapons (i.e., battle axe/shield and signature rifle). If you're waiting for retail... probably? If you're shopping with e-tailers, I'm hearing as soon as next week.
I mean more like removable and still look like a truck. Which is doesn't. The front end is a bigger chunk than I thought. Though it looks really easy to replace if a third party decided to make a new backpack/front end. The weird floodlights on the top and middle of the front are an eyesore.
Frankly, I like them. They add a little something extra to a well trodden design. I mean c'mon... we're all more than familiar with the traditional Prime design in both modes, so any opportunity to put a unique spin while still generally keeping the same silhouette is a welcome thing to me. That said, fear not because his bot mode looks pretty traditional and geewun inspired. It's only the alt mode that differs from that design. YMMV as to whether that's an acceptable thing or a deal breaker.
