Is it just me, or is that Astrotrain just a retool of the TR Octone/G2 Optimus mold?

It's probably just you. At most, they have shared engineering.

I thought about that, but the gorilla mode's visor/eyes sits snugly up against the headmaster, with no room for a robot face. I also noticed from the robot mode pictures that the legs(?) behind the robot mode face are black. If you look at the headmaster in gorilla mode, you'll notice the visor/eyes part is black with the opposite side being purple like the robot face.

Also notice what looks like a hinge on the robot head's forehead. My guess is the gorilla eyes are on the back and the robot face on the calves.

Welp. Guess I\'m gonna sell my TR Astrotrain.

The other 3 are a welcome surprise, though using Ironhide for Crosshairs is interesting. I would have expected a leaner bot for Crosshairs

Yeah, I\'m getting that Astrotrain. I shouldn\'t want it, but for some reason, I really, really do...

Wow, these are looking pretty good. Astrotrain is the one I've been looking forward to. Train mode looks a little awkwardly proportioned but otherwise he's looking great and is a definite purchase.
I'll skip the rest but not because of the figures themselves, I just dont have room in my collection.
Apeface is certainly a love letter to G1 (and if I see him in the wild, I may not be able to resist, no matter how much I think I cant fit him in my collection).
Spinister looks really good, mind blown that he has two cockpits as legs but only uses one in alt mode. Will be interesting to see his transformation.
Crosshairs looks perfect in bot mode and it took me a minute to realize he's a retool of Ironhide. His alt mode looks a little off though due to colourscheme but thats the price you pay for a great bot mode.

I want ALL OF THEM, but I won't be able to afford Astrotrain. It's weird because when I heard he was being released I thought "meh, I have the TR one" but he does look sweet. Voyager Apeface? Yes, I think that suits me sir.

Aren't the Siege designs meant to be them pre-Earth?
Cos those are rather Earth-like vehicle portions on Astrotrain...

ApeFace is dope, i hope we get his buddy Snapdragon.

Spinister is cool as we've got another member of the Scavengers. (Just need Crankcase & Fulcrum iirc)

Crosshairs being Ironhide with a new head is disappointing for some.
I was never personally attatched to him cos he never did anything in the show.
His G1 toy seemed to be more of a dune-buggy type thing.

Relax, it is just on his quads.

Also, I bet you the Astrotrain parts forms into train mode, that is how the renders look at least.

I like that Spinster mold, hopefully they do it in less garish colors.

I'm not really interested in any of these figures to be honest, but I'm glad everyone else seems to be excited!

Wow an Astrotrain that has a proper steam train mode. I'll set aside my grumbles about similarities to Octane, a toy I didn't like much. At least there are no stickers.

Apeface looks outstanding. Huge desire for Snapdragon now, do him right.

The Astrotrain has my interest big time. I don't feel the other releases of the character have done the Classics / Generations shelves justice.
