Sideswipe, has without a doubt, been my most anticipated character to see in the upcoming movie. Yeah, I love Optimus Prime, but he's already set up in the films. Until these recent three Television spots, we haven't been able to see or hear about anything having to do with Sideswipe. So, now we've seen him in action and in scenes all over the world from China to the desert. Does anyone have any theories on whether or not he'll keep his G1 personality? Or has anyone read any of the novelizations and been able to figure out how he'll act? Is anyone else as hyped to see how ridiculous he's going to be in the movie? Oh yeah, and Hooray for robots with swords.
I doubt he'd be the hellion prankster type in this movie. Seems like formidable close quaters melee fighter. Other than that I haven't seen any hints towards his personality in general... even if he gets fleshed out enough to actually have one.
It is my understanding they chose the name Sideswipe as it goes with his fighting style. So who knows if he retains any G1-ness.
that has been his fighting style in the comics too, and his head design is very similar, and alt mode too..
I see him as a SpecOps Autobot soldier. Similar to Ironhide, only more lethal. Those scissor swords are there for a reason.
