I get that they are cool, but personally, I just think this is just the opposite of why people tend to NOT like Bee. Sideswipe/Mirage were given in short spurts, and much like Boba Fett they are considered to be favorites.

But, I feel its only due to length or number of clips they were in.

If bumblebee was NOT the central character, I bet that he'd have much more appreciation.

I think you're right. Both had short screen time, but were pretty badass in almost all their scenes which involved fighting, therefore they are favourites. Pissing on humans doesn't really make you cool.

 

Anybody having a real obsession over a fictional robot, is pretty sad. But I agree it's the "cool thing" to like the background characters instead of the main ones.

It's quality not quantity with these guys. They both have awesome alt modes and as said before they chewed up their screentime with badassness.

 

Alright, with all seriousness now, what will Hasbro have to change in BB's design to compete with Sideswipe/Mirage's in the movies?

Since BB only has an arm for a cannon, while Sideswipe as wheels for feet or Mirage has Ninja speed and spears, maybe they can work with BB's cannon and & improve on it. Maybe enlarge it? Or have different cool weapons transform out from his shoulders, but something new and wicked we haven't seen yet.

Let's face it, Mirage and Sideswipe are pretty cool.

Optimus Prime is an abousalte badass and he gets tons of screentime. So dont say we hate bee because he has lots of screentime.

• Beat up Barricade in the first film.
• Killed Brawl in the first film.
• Killed the kitchetbots at the beginning of ROTF.
• Killed Ravage and Rampage in ROTF.
• Killed Hatchet in DOTM (Dino[Mirage] hooked him, but it was Bee who killed him with the missile rounds)
• Evaded Sentinel's attack, proving to be too agile for the old Prime.
• Killed a Protoform and killed Soundwave
• Took down the Pillar

Bee is absolutely awesome.

Hatchet was a team effort. Mirage stabbed him and BB and Sideswipe shot him, then Mirage threw him into oncoming traffic, which killed him. So, Mirage did more than BB. Ratchet shot the pillar, he destroyed it. Tackling it did jack shit, it was just for dramatic effect. Oh, Yeah, BB killed a protoform.
We all know how hard that is  . Guess what? Ratchet killed Four. Not so hot now, are ya Bumblebee? And please stop it with that "Bee" shit. It's absolutely obnoxious.

 

Whatvever. Bumblebee still has more kills under his belt than most of the other Autobots (besides Optimus). So, he's still more awesome.

You need to calm down. There's no need to get your pants in a bunch just because I referred to Bee as "Bee". Just my preference. Also, there is no need for fowl language ("...jack shit"). These things tell me that you're taking this all a bit too seriously.

 

That still ruins the whole point of Bumblebee! An underdog who's weaker than the others, but is brave and trys to win despite all odds. It's ridiculous that he's so overpowered in ROTF and DOTM

Even though he's a bit overpowered, he still has that "underdog" aspect to him; the films do a good job of conveying the idea that he has the lowest rank among the Autobots.

 

He could have been how he was in Movie 1 and I would have been happy. BTW, I'm not a big fan of G1 myself

 

He was kicking ass even in the first movie. So, what is your point?

 

To be fair, I think he should have killed all the Kitchen Bots, and have had assistance fighting Rampage when Ravage showed up.

And I still think he should have been killed by Soundwave. But that's debateable. Losing Bee means losing the movie franchise.

Because at that time it was one on one with Barricade, the Con's own scout. The outcome could have been anything. And against Brawlastator, he was half killed by the military and other Autobots.

 

At least Barricade is an equal opponent, a scout as well. He killed Brawl after he took 30 minutes of gunfire and had lost an arm.
