Hello, everyone! I'm making another custom from a Siege toy that's currently irrelevant, this one's been whipped up because of Kingdom Ultra Magnus! Meet Sideload, the femme mercenary garbage truck!

Currently, I've added a total of three new parts: A new head, replacing the old inner magnus one (it was relatively easy to unscrew), and two parts which, once finished, will create a claw similar to those found on real life sideloading garbage trucks!

This is still a work in progress: I need to finish creating all the parts, and then afterwards I need to paint and sticker her. If this is sounding familiar, it is - It's a nearly identical story to another custom I made! (Heavy/Scratch: - (WIP) "Arcadia" From Siege Soundwave) While yes, I will finish her eventually, i've decided to work on this one as well.
The alt mode's going to look something like this, just with the claw sticking out and in different colors.

Interesting idea! And leaving off the Magnus head/chest armour in vehicle mode really works well for making an open topped truck mode, nice job!
And I will never say no to more femmebots! Watching with interest.

 

yo! i didnt notice this was Smelt at first (until i saw the link to Arcadia)! and a garbage truck?! i had a similar idea with CW Ultra Magnus with the X2 Toys kit! im glad someone is doing this! this may be a good use for a CHUG Animated Wreck-Gar/CHUG AOE Junkheap! i cant wait to see more! good luck with your project pal!!!

Wow I hope this goes well. I have no real reason to, but somehow I’m a fan of garbage truck transformers. Maybe it’s the mundane nature of them. Very good idea and progress so far!

 

The claw is done! It features four joints on the arm, a rotation at the claw itself, and the claw can close.


This is what I think is the best way to pose the claw in robot mode.

 

What are you think in terms of color layout

 

was just gonna digibash that, actually. I'm thinking the generic white and green with orange accents. Good faction-neutral color scheme and it'd compliment Arcadia's black and green with orange accents well.

 

Reminds me a lot of Bayverse Bonecrusher.

Turns out I didn’t proof read my sentence. Yeah, something like DotM Garagebot is what I was thinking. With the WM logos hopefully. I think this could turn out really well. Will the RiD bumper become something garbage truck related?

 

means i will paint her, but this is just a color test to see what paint i need to buy.

nope. still just gonna be a massive angular bumper with four miniguns, except now it can't slide up.

That boom arm is magnificent. The arm can come in handy as an extra weapon during battle, ala TFTM Bonecrusher
