Thought it pretty much sucked. Not even as funny as the 2nd one which was pretty light on the laughs itself. There were about 2 or 3 good laughs, the rest of the time I don't think I even chuckled really. These movies just get worse as they go. It's sad too, I liked the first one. Should have just left after the TF trailer, which had quite a bit of new shots, different from the other trailers found online today, but not as good IMO.
SOrry you felt that way, dude, I loved it. The ending was a little bit of a let down, but the had to give Arty the win so everyone would accept him as king. Some big laughs all around, tho I do feel they could have made one or two more if they had furthered the fear Shrek had about becoming a dad.
saw this tonight. I enjoyed it, but I also enjoyed the other two. Lots of a adult and kid humor, and like the other movies, there is a ton of stuff that will go straight over the kid's heads. Gingerbread man is still my favorite character.
i thought it was pretty good. had some good laughs. all around good movie in my book. loved the "dragkeys"? or were they "don-gens"?
Some reviews are praising it in the papers, others are saying it fails to capture the majesty of the first two movies. I venture to this movie cautiously, expecting a few laughs but nothing that tears me up like the previous movies had.
The 2nd one had majesty? Really, outside of pinoccio and the gingerbread man, was there anything decent about the 2nd one? Or 3rd really now that I think about it.
I think it started off kinda slowly, but picked up rather nicely. I laughed quite a bit. Merlin is my new favorite character. Plus: I FINALLY got to see a TF trailer in theater. Worth the price of the ticket alone.
No, he is not funny, not at all really. Though he is responsible for one of the 3 or 4 laughs in Shrek 3.
I laughed a lot during Shrek 2, and liked it far more then the first. I think that a lot of people let the overmarketing make them bias against a movie. I know I was sick of seeing Shrek stuff by the time I saw Shrek 2, but I didn't let it effect my judgement of the movie, so I had a great time watching it. I haven't seen as much marketing for part 3 and haven't even gotten to see a full trailer. I am sure it will be at the very least entertaining.
According to Wikipedia, there might be a Shrek 4. As for this movie, I'm not sure if I'm willing to see it or not. I mean, Shrek was funny, Shrek 2 was...okay, but something tells me Shrek the Third may not be as good as its predecessors.
Actully it has been confermed theres gonna be a shrek 4 and the 4th one shall be its last shrek franchise
I'm actually tempted to go check out a matinee of this solely for the TF trailer. But, as for the film itself, I think I'll skip it. I liked Shrek 1, but Shrek 2 was a significant drop-off in quality and I can't see that suddenly resurging. Also, it's getting a fair amount of negative reviews and even the positive reviews tend to have a lot of qualifying statements and aren't overwhemingly enthusiastic.
I have to admit, it was the weakest of the 3. However, it was not a bad movie by any means. I was thoroughly entertained. There were some good laughs. **SPOILER ALERT** ( Highlight to read ) The part where Snow White was singing and all the animals came, and then she broke out into Barracuda had me laughing out loud. Funniest part of the whole movie IMO.
