Did we ever get explicit confirmation on what all the "Gas Value" benefits are?

 

Don't think so. But from observation.
I'm at V-power.
- I get extra points equal to the premium points.
- You don't get a bonus if you pay completely with points.
- Not sure about partial payments with points.
- No Gas bonus for preorder deposit.

 

I have a premium account, and am at Silver (59% to V-Power, at $836.58 spent).

Just looking at my own recent purchase of MetaGate Air King, I got:
- 1 point for "Pre-Order Deposit"
- 2 points for "Premium Account Pre-Order Deposit"
- 98 points for "Pre-Order the rest of payment"
- 195 points for "Premium Account Pre-Order the rest of payment"
- 97 points for "Gas value"

So I guess you get:
- 1x points normally
- 3x points for premium account
- 4x points for premium account + gas value at Silver

What does V-power do, then? I seem to recall reading somewhere in the thread that it gets you extra extra points on one purchase, but I don't think this was 100% confirmed, and even if it's true then I have a lot of questions about it.

I don't understand why ShowZ can take the time and effort to design a bar graph tracker to show your gas level, but can't just throw some regular plain text on the page to explain what it does.

In your example V-power should get 195 points for "Gas value".

Silver looks to be an extra bonus equal to half of the premium bonus (97 of 195 in your example) while V-power is the full premium bonus (195 of 195 in your example)

 

Hello @AbbytheCat , sorry to bother you, I just wanted to double check on this order, #22122715523793. The tracking has not worked since it was shipped on December 30. I have asked on your site already, and was told it was shipped out and be patient. This has happened once before and I eventually received the item without the tracking ever working. Hello @AbbytheCat and Happy CNY! I need help from you guys to contact DNA Design (if possible) to source DK-27 parts. I got the double-copy part for the right thigh from the box. I brought it from a local shop while on an overseas trip so its very hard for me to send it back.  

 

Has anyone has any problems recently, as I paid for Meta Terrorsaur yet haven’t received an email and it’s not on my orders on the website, yet I have my PayPal payment.

 

I briefly made it to V power. Here's the breakdown

1x points (one point for every dollar spent)
+2x points premium (they say 3x but like it's just an extra 2x added to the 1x)
+1x points silver
+1x points V-spec

So at silver, you'll get getting a total of 4x points and at V you'll be getting a total of 5x. You have to spend $1000 in a rolling 90 day period to get to V-spec. I forget if it was $500 or $600 to get to silver (I wanna' say $600). As @MonsterMash points out, the points are only awarded when you pay with money, not points you've already earned.

Another note: even though your points are good on both ShowZStore and Gundamit, the two stores have separate reward tiers. Meaning purchases on ShowZ don't contribute to your gas level on Gundamit and vice versa. I've mentioned to Abbythecat that this essentially makes them their own competitor and he said they're planning on unifying but as of now it hasn't happened. For this reason, I like to save my points while buying on ShowZ, which is where I get almost all of my toys these days, and then use the points when purchasing something on Gundamit (they have some items on GD that aren't on SZ), since those purchases wouldn't have contributed to my gas level anyway. I also like to let my points build up when I'm at a higher tier and wait to spend them until I'm back at a lower tier.

[edit] Another note: If you pre-order something with full payment and then cancel, the points you earned, including gas value, are of course removed. However, if your refund is in points and then you use those points to buy something else, you don't get points for the new purchase. I cancelled an order and they asked if points were ok instead of a money refund. I figured why not since I was just going to spend it on something else at the store anyway. It only amounted to a couple of bucks worth of points so I didn't worry about it, but it's something to keep in mind.

 

I have gotten several of these decal sheets from ShowZ over the past few orders. I was wondering if anyone in the community knows if these are stickers, water slides, dry rubs, or whatever? I really messed with them yet.

 

Thanks for confirming! So it's basically an extra 1% store credit, then. Not sure if that's enough to make it worth intentionally buying more/spending more to reach the V tier, though of course if you were going to spend that much anyway, it's a nice bonus.

 

Exactly. But it's enough to make me prefer sticking with ShowZ instead of occasionally ordering from somewhere else, which is probably the point.

 

Just received my latest from ShowZ!! Thanks guys perfect as always.

 

They're a dry rub sticker. You can cut around the logo and peel it from the white backing, then apply it to where you want it and press down on the logo to adhere it. After that just pull off the clear plastic overlay and the decal should remain on the figure. Much less fiddly and messy than water slides in my opinion.

 

Post office won't deliver my latest package from showz. The postage was not paid. Says I have to pay $6.55 do get my package. I've contacted showz through the website, but posting here to document the issue. I'm sure they'll refund the $6.55. According to my postman they have hundreds of packages from china where the postage is not being paid. It was was dropped of at the post office using Pittney Bowes and if I was a betting man I'd say they are the issue. I had a package earlier this week from showz that did not uses Pittney Bowes with no problem.

Yep, look back a page or two and there was a wave of packages through California that the local shipping company tried to re-use postage or something. ShowZ acknowledged this just before the Spring Holiday break and has been reimbursing customers who got hit with this. I'd take a photo of the bill to submit to ShowZ.

They said they'd follow up with the shipping company, but everyone was already gone for Chinese New Year so it would have to wait until offices open up again next week (or the week after as some don't open again until Feb 5th or 12th).

Edit: My latest package came through Chicago and arrived today with no issues. It is a local shipping agent in California employed by one of the big carriers that has somehow caused this mess for customers on that end of the country.

 

I think Pitney Bowes in this case sells postage. That label has probably been edited and reprinted by whatever local shipping company handles it.

You could probably verify it by checking the tracking number once you get the package.

Did the tracking number you got from showz start with AG?

My AG tracking numbers arrived without any fake postage on them. I was so glad.

I just want to thank you. My XTB Ultra Magnus came without the Matrix. And just a couple of days ago, the missing part was delivered.
I used the ShowZ-aftersale-service, which responded just a couple of hours later. After the finishing touches (photos, and description) I was told, that it would take some time (more than a month) to resolve the issue...
And there we are: Sooner, than I expected, and happier as can be.
