I didn't find a thread for this store and didn't know where else to put it so I'll put it here. How long do they typically take to start shipping after you place an order? I placed an order 5 business days ago and my order still says "awaiting shipping."

 

That's longer than usual but not long enough to worry. They usually ship within about a week. You can email if you're worried (and you probably should if it doesn't ship within 7 days) but showZ is known to be solid.

 

They're very solid but some patience is required in the shipping department. If you msg them on Facebook they'll always give you an update on your order.

 

There are a lot of threads either indirectly or directly about ShowZ at this point...

FYI, they can sometimes take a week or so to ship, but I've found that if it takes that long to get a tracking number from them, the package is already well on the way at that point.
The tracking numbers also aren't super-reliable, at least when it comes to New Zealand Post (who suck ass at even tracking their own numbers - I sent a box to a friend which 17track picked up almost immediately but NZ Post's own tracking still can't pick it up, for example), but they do work.

ShowZ is solid. I had four boxes arrived from them last week alone, so I can vouch for them.

 

Are you sure what you ordered was in stock and not a preorder?

 

I ordered something in stock on March 8th or 9th. An oversized KO of Titans Return Skullcruncher. Still hasn't shipped. Longer than 5 days.

That said, I ordered 12 or 13 things at once from them a week or so before Chinese New Year and it all shipped quickly. He mailed like 11 boxes and they all arrived at different times. A couple per day for a week and the last couple took 2-3 weeks to arrive. All packed well. Great prices. Good service (FB chat).

So I've had one good experience and one so-so experience with them.

 

You can message him and get tracking sooner. It's usually a little slow on the update. I placed some orders last week that literally just updated on the site. They were shipped some days ago.

 

I ordered something March 12th that apparently shipped on the 19th, finally got the tracking number to show me some info.

What’s confusing about my order is this: I got what looks like a refund for one of the items, but the order summary stills shows it as being part of the order and having been shipped. Anybody else have similar experience? Is that par for the course with this store?

 

That sounds pretty unique, @CaptJagged, but the lag in shipping seems a bit typical for ShowZ and from overseas sellers in general, based on what I’ve read and can recall—and have experienced.

And, so, I can add another tale of lag to the pile.

Last Friday, I ordered DX9’s Sonic Wizard.

Wednesday I emailed asking about a tracking number for confirmation that it was in the system, and heard back a few hours later to expect one in a couple days.

So, an hour ago I got an email with #, and from what I can gather it left somewhere last night around Midnight, maybe, or perhaps it was Noon yesterday EDST, accounting for the time zones.

Now, though, it’s all a matter of finding out if all my baby bots arrive in one piece...and I guess that boom box, too...  

 

I'm having a similar experience. First order. Placed it a week ago. I knew there was a reputation for slow to update shipping information. A board member advised I message ShowZ on Facebook. Did so and got an update a few hours later that 1/3 of my order had shipped, gave me the tracking information that showed it was shipped the day after my order was placed. It'll be here Monday or Tuesday. I just wasn't notified. They asked me to message them the next night for tracking information on the remainder of the order. I did as was asked. The message was "seen" but it's been two days without an answer. He has a solid reputation here on the boards and the first portion of my order shipped quickly but all this having to chase the tracking number down and continue to request the number is a bit of a turn off.

 

I think they just get busy and fall behind. Usually after pinging them they fix you right up or it is already at your doorstep.

 

I found that they took a few days to actually give me a tracking number. But when they did the parcel had already arrived in the UK. So from Wednesday over to tuesday it got to me. I think this was way faster than a usual parcel as even the showz rep on Facebook said that was abnormally quick.

I will only order from them now if kapow and tfs-express are out of stock (most days lol).

 

That's standard for them. They're reliable and prices are great but shipping is woefully slow. A week or more to start shipping and up to 2 weeks to deliver is pretty common . But what do you expect with free shipping worldwide? I think they're pretty much the only company to offer that. Every one else charges a heap to ship outside their own country.

 

I've ordered from him and got stuff within a week. Tracking never updated until it was at delivery status. I wouldn't worry, I sometimes wait a week and a half for smartlulup to ship stuff, but it always gets to me.

 

Snailmail ocean freight from China is cheap but expect super slow delivery. Often times the seller only has partial documentation until the freight forwarders release their side of things, including the tracking numbers.

I deal with that every day for work. I like Show.Z and will continue to use them...I think of it as an exercise in patience, delayed gratification if you will.

I've ordered from them a few times. Shipping can take time but they've definitely earned myvtruat with great prices, fast responses and great post sale support.

 

I made an order the other day that never got a shipping notification. I wanted to cancel so I could buy Ultima Guard but, they had already shipped it.

Yeah, the adding of shipping could be better but, whatever.

 

It is still in stock.

And my tracking number was just received today so everything worked out so far.

They are slow on getting pre-orders shipped out, I waited a week for shipping notification when I seen a figure instock on there site that I pre-ordered. I had to email them and ask if my pre-order was shipped and got tracking info next day.
