Ecigs purify the air. EPA & FDA: Vapor Harmless to Children | Minnesota Vapers AdvocacyMinnesota Vapers Advocacy
My understanding of e-cigs was that the whole point was that smokers could smoke without negatively impacting those around them (ie: the vapor is not harmful). I guess I shouldn't be surprised there's someone against these, there seems to a group against damned near everything these days.
This only proves how much clout the tobacco industry still has with lawmakers. They're scared people will start switching over to ecigs, and they're now lobbying lawmakers to cut them off at the knees with preventive laws.
I always thought e-cigs were a rather brilliant invention. One guy I worked with was able to use them in the office because they produced a fairly odorless vapor.
This is all well and good for acute exposure, but what about long-term high-dose usage? It seems like aerosolized glycol usage has been going on for quite some time, has it been tied to any ill effects in people who have worked long-term in those environments?
While the article Does address my concerns of exposure to the cloud of whatever vapers puff out, I still think it's a little rude to do so inside.
Dipropylene glycol and propylene glycol both have very low toxicities and are common a lot of things you'll see every day. You would have to take very high amounts of the stuff over a very short period of time in order to get adverse health effects from it. Dipropylene glycol is common in things such as perfume, skin care products, and is an additive in the mixture that fog machines use...the ones you see in parties and stuff. Propylene glycol is an additive that is found in frozen desserts.
Yes. Yes it does. Ecigs needs more cowboy commercials. Or Brokeback mountain's still fresh in everyone's memory...
Since I absolutely loathe smokers, I'm 100% for ecigs. Anything that helps these insensitive pricks stop spewing noxious smoke at me is a good thing. I resent that even driving at 74 mph on the freeway I can still smell cigarettes from the car in front of me. Foul.
I somehow highly doubt that... Then again smoking is the most stupid habit on the planet. Not sure if team jetfire is a smoker like us though.
