Are your DJD entirely made from customs? That's really cool. Great job! I can see titan returns Perceptor in there but wouldn't have a clue where the rest base came from. I may need to do something similar on a legends scale as trying to track down Iron factory Tarn is getting impossible for a fair price.

 

All customs except for the Command Ravage repurpose for Pet.
Tarn was TR Megatron.
Helex was PotP Optimus Primal.
Tersaurus was Power Rangers Ninja Steel Blaze Megazord and TR Overlord.
Vos was RiD 2015 Fracture.
Kaon was TR Perceptor
Nickel was RiD 2015 Blizzard Strike Slipstream.

What I would like to make one day for there display is a background of the bar on the ship or possibly its helm think that would look sweet.

I only just noticed that's the memory card Ravage right? He works really well!
I've rearranged my display to my favourite characters from the comic, Trailbreaker/cutter is absent though as I sold my thrilling 30 one as he was too small and alternator custom one is quite chunky, ideally I found an os ko thrilling 30 Hoist for a good price so thinking pick up 2 if them and repaint/sculpt the other for an idw lost light Trailcutter.

Yup mem card Ravage, though it's some random KO so I've never dared to plug it in anywhere.

Also love that we both went with the OS Domey and Drift - I was so proud of that decision. Great shout with MP Magnus as well, awesome scale!

 

How much should the MMC Tailgate go for?

 

It's actually made by Maketoys. It's a pretty awesome figure that comes with some upgrade parts that let you convert a specific generations Cyclonus to its IDW version.

I picked mine up second hand and missing the Cyclonus upgrades for £40 but tbh I think I got v lucky.

 

Yes all my own customs I'm really into making them where the character just doesn't have a toy or if it does it's just not a viable option to me due to cost.
Of course now mmc are bringing out some nice lost light idw like Rung, Getaway, Chromedome and Rewind that look amazing but still happy with what I've got/built.

Rung has been planned for a couple of years now only recently had the push to get him done.
He started life as Prowl from the 2003 line i think? He was a Lamborghini rid I'm not sure. Then when i first read these comics 3 years ago I started making customs and I think the 2nd I did a getaway from that Prowl to go with the my thrilling 30 Skids, later I started going for more mp scale lost light crew and sold most of the generation scale figures I had, like Chromedome hence the os ko. With Drift I just couldn't get him anywhere original Hasbro and enjoyed his comics so much that I had to have him in any form I could.
Going back to Rung I'd seen a lot of amazing customs of him on here a decided to repurpose Prowl/Getaway (which was a pretty rough custom) into Rung as he had a nice skinny frame after all the kibble had gone, but at the time I couldn't see how I could affectly pull him off as I was into making the shapes I needed out of finely cut styrene then trying to glue it together. It's only in the last 6 months or so I've been practicing with putty and sculpting and had the confidence to attempt him plus I'm on a bit of a lost light display completing mission.

I not as bothered about scale now as I just couldn't let go of Skids when I got rid of most of the rest of his size as hes as spot ones he will get, I miss my Trailcutter but he was tiny.
Thunderclash was a recent custom, Ten is coming soon from Hulkbuster inspired from this thread I think, Nautica is a must but finding the right mold that doesn't cost too much, I'm thinking 3 using prime Ratchet which is currently a not great custom of Alpha trion, guess with her I'm hoping Hasbro will bring one out soon in there current line (wishful thinking) I personally think she would sell really well as she has a great fan base, dont give her a weapon though just that cool Spanner she uses in the comic instead

That is pretty good price, those characters were probably my most and only expensive toys I've ever brought (apart from wfc Omega supreme but that's a different story altogether)
I waited ages for them to come up 2nd hand on Ebay but in the end orderd them all at once Swerve, Gears, Tailgate and the Cyclonus kit, I think there was a deal on when you got them all together new from maketoys website I think it was like £90 or something crazy like that I remember trying to justify it by dividing the cost over the figures and telling myself I've spent more on individual figures I really wanted before, and I did really really want them but felt sick just placing the order.
Then I got stung on customs declaration another £20 or so. They are great representations of the Characters but the build quality is not worth the price in my opinion, tailgates upper arm cover fell off very quickly and his mushroom pegs for swapping the spare parts over show signs of stress and I was really careful as well, the way Swerves and Gears feet are designed they are really hard to stand which is a shame as they have an amazing amount of articulation but also let down with floppy joints.
Anyone would think they were 2nd hand well played with not brand new lol. Ether way I made the contentment on them knowing I would never sell them no matter what happens as watching them ho on Ebay for hardly anything what I paid would break my heart.
Scarlet Knight I'd definitely recommend try to pick them up second hand base on my experience.
