I can't believe it. After all these years Season 3 on DVD.

Hopefully we get some really good bonus features, hopefully TFA's crew will be contacted by Shout!

I don't know which I'll pick up, I'll wait closer to the release date to get more details on content and packaging, but either way I'll have the entire series of Animated by June.

Wish this received a bluray release, but I'll take what I can get. Be nice to finally delete Animated from my computer's hard drive.

The only thing I want them to make now is Cybertron, RiD and the Movie.

I really would like this to have special features.

    Cast and crew interviews.
    Episode commentaries.
    Toy adverts.
    Botcon 2008 featurette

    Etc...

Good special features are how you win the war against illegal streaming and torrent sites, and collections burnt onto disk.

    Thank god I waited.

Yeah, I noticed that as well. Even though I've got the first two seasons (and the pilot movie), I'm just going to buy the whole series to have it all in Widescreen. Plus, it's a damn fine price for the complete series.

    That would be cool.

Of course, by failed, you mean outperformed every other cartoon based toyline in sales, which it did. Hell, it even gave one of the movies a run for its money.

Heck, with the last infographic that Hasbro released, Prime needed to double its sales to be in the same bracket as Animated.

He must just mean that the show failed him. Because it seems to have succeeded with the majority of the fanbase.

This won't mean anything to most, but when they aired season 3 on The Hub, the opening "three-parter" had a couple seconds going to and from the commercial breaks that weren't in the episode when it aired originally.
I ran them both together and compared.
I imagine the Predacon's Rising dvd release smoothed out some of the commercial breaks on that too.

Glad to see Animated finally getting a full series DVD release.

I didn't have high expectations when I first heard of Animated (Rookie Optimus? Motorbike ninja Prowl? Really?) , but I was hooked from the very first episode, right till the last, and beyond. Great characters, storyline and dialogue.

I hope they don't neglect Animated in future Generations toylines.
