Yes, where the trailer goes when he is in robot mode is the thing.

Optimus transforms into a truck his trailer appears.

Only a few times does it appear separate from him. It can transform also into a battle station mode.

 

hmm. i wonder how they are going to iterate that. because, in a live action film, the trailer just cant ''appear'' likewise megatron could not transform into a pistol. that will be interesting.

Maybe Prime will just have the trailer for a certain scene in the movie...don't get me wrong, it would be cool if he had it throughout the whole movie...But I say it will be used as some sort of battle station type deal...

 

If Prime only used the trailer to carry the other autobots around, why is he shown towing it during the chase sequence where the other bots are in front of him?

 

I think the trailer is getting blown up before we even get a chance to see him transform.

If you mean "merges with it into a super robot", then no, no, by Christ no, a thousand times no. If you mean "it turns into a battle station" then I'm all for that. It'd be a great size for humans to man, and the idea of having some kind of mobile, in-the-field headquarters and communications centre for the NEST soldiers would fit well into the movieverse and its partnership between the Autobots and humans.

 

I wonder how they will do that with the trailer when Prime transforms. This I have to see.

 

I think it would be funny if in one scene the trailer would disappear offscreen and normal viewers probably might not notice it, but when they notice it, they think it's an error, but actually it'd be a nod to the cartoon! *g*

If it's some sort of really cool looking battle station, weapons platform, or something like that then I'm for the over the top fun.

Power up Prime by merging with the trailer would be a pass for me.
