I think you need to brush up on what "literally" means.

Just because Lorenzo may be a typical Hollywood producer doesn't mean he's "evil" or done any wrongdoing.

Personally, I think he's helped contribute greatness to the franchise. As well as some not so great things.

Leaving or staying on would be entirely his choice.

Can someone give me a quick rundown of what is going on? I went to sleep just as initial impression started flowing in and when I woke up the next day it feels like a nuke went out and now we're living in some post-apocaliptic wasteland. I mean cats and dogs are talking with each other. It's downright bizarre...

I thought that was Spielberg's idea...? Someone please correct me if I'm wrong.

For someone not following everything related to the films these days, what's so bad about Lorenzo?

I also heard that it was Spielberg's initial idea. If I remember correctly they all were also supposed to be gray/metallic in color. Bay decided otherwise.

Ha ha! Trust me, we all feel it.

Well, Mark Wahlberg was on The Graham Norton Show here in the UK on Friday and was said to have stated that TLK was "his last film he'll appear in". Whether it's similar to Bay's comments is yet to be determined.

This poll thread is about whether producer Lorenzo Di Bonaventura should also take leave when the time comes along with Wahlberg and Bay.

So in other words, we are demanding the retairment of the old guard and assembling in its place a new creative team? :p

I mean if this movie is the real flop that we hear, which I don't believe, the fault is his, the main complain is the messy plot, given his reputation of bad ideas I can say that if Paramount and Hasbro want to keep doing this, they need all the change they can, not necessarily a reboot, just a new team from now on.

Bay gets a lot of stick because it's his name first and foremost associated with the movies. But you can't fault his cinematography. There are a lot of people with xt heir fingers in the pie. Brian Goldner gets script approval. The Knights were added to the movie universe, and the Dinobots were forced into AOE at Hasbro's insistence. And I think people forget the influence and control producers have, it's not all down to the director.

I've never really payed attention to him, what exactly has he done? Every post I read is always pointing the finger at Michael Bay.

    Maybe so.

And just what 'greatness' has he contributed? Genuinely curious here.

You know that overblown Writer's Room that was supposed to generate new plot scripts for future films?

Lorenzo overrode several of the decisions made after the fact purely because he thought his ideas were better, combining at least two separate films into one within TF5. By his own admission.
