For me, it was a bit too repetitive to keep me hooked, personally. I heard the third season got better, but I haven't seen it. A lot of people do like it, though it definitely has some huge flaws. Still, there are far worse TF shows. I would say its nowhere near as good as Beast Wars, not as good as Animated, on par with Cybertron (Though I found Cybertron more fun to watch), better than Armada and Energon.

Could it have been better? Yes.
Should it have been animated instead of CGI? Yes.

Did it have some good dialog? Yes.
Did it have some bad dialog? Yes.

Were all good plot points explored? No.
Were all bad plot points explored? No.

Did we get some good toys out of the series? Yes.
Did we miss out on some good toys out of the series? Yes.

Was it hindered by being aired once a week? Yes.
Was it hindered by having big name celebs to do voices? Possibly.

Were there awesome fight scenes? Yes.

Were there as many animation errors as in G1 and Armada? No.

So to sum up the series, it gets checkmarks on some things positive and negative.

I like to think a show's final season is to go out with a bang, which I think Prime's season 3 accomplished. Season 2 WAS merely a build-up, so to say.
