don't watch any transformers at all :)

Don't expect it to be of better writing then the rest of the franchise.

It has it's flaws but it's good transformers show. I would eagerly await every new episode during its run.

Watch it and decide whether you like it yourself rather than relying on the opinion of people on a forum.

You might as well. It can't hurt. It may not be the best, but neither is it the worst. And there are things to like about it.

I really enjoyed it. You should watch a bit more to see if you like it.

Watch the entire show yourself and then decide if you want to watch the whole thing.

If the show fails to grab your attention in S1, then don't subject yourself to watching more of it in the hopes that it gets good based on what other people say.

If that's the case, I wouldn't have given Animated a chance and I would have missed out on what was a great S2 and S3. Believe it or not, some shows -do- get better after the first season.

    ---

As for the OP, go ahead and watch it and decide for yourself. Like with every TF show, there's some questionable moments, good moments, the chance of finding a character you really like and sticking with the show until the end.

The worst parts, in my opinion, are the wasted potential throughout the series. If you can handle the disappointment of wasted potential, then you should be alright to survive the series until the end.

Just give it a watch. Worst case scenario, you don't like it and you've wasted time (and money, maybe, depending on how you plan on obtaining the episodes to watch).

I felt the same when I first watched it. Enjoyed the Darkness Rising episodes but just couldn't get in to season 1 when it started.
Between season 2 and 3 I went back and started watching it again and got really into it. As with most series it took a little while to warm up but is pretty good. Not amazing but well worth the watch.

I didn't like season 1 of Animated but really enjoyed season 2 and to a lesser extent, season 3. Same with Armada. At first I hated that show and didn't bother with it but around the time Jetfire joined the cast, I got really into it and ended up loving it.

Beast Wars season 2 is a big improvement on season 1. Just because the first season doesn't grab you, doesn't mean it won't be better in future seasons.

I greatly enjoyed it, so I always recommend watching it. Of course it's not always other people's cuppa tea, and if you've already tried and not liked it might be an uphill battle. Still, I had the same problem with Animated and it turned out to be a quite enjoyable watch in the end.
