If you're not using the PSP, and none of the forthcomming games appeal to you more than MarioKart....

Although persoanlly, I found the DS just plain cumbersome to use, and couldn't wait to get rid of it.

I'd say just wait and save up for a DS, but keep your psp. Merely on prices alone, trading a psp for a ds is a waste of money. Besides, with the new version of the DS coming out, the old ones will be dropping in price likely, so it will be a good time to snag one of the classic style ones I think for a lower price.

I say keep the PSP and save up for a DS. I sold mine about a year or so ago because there was nothing that interested me. Now i have a little bit of regret. I say keep it for when a bunch of new games come out.

Once again, smangerbot is dead wrong.
The PSP has had online play since it was released. It's the DS that didn't.

Maybe you don't have a wireless router. You need one of those.

The DS lite is slimmer, sleeker, has much brighter screens and apparently an even better than it's already stellar battery life.

Ever since I upgraded my psp firmware to 2.5, it has been collecting dust. My DS on the otherhand, I play almost everyday. Two things that killed the psp for me, poor battery life and loooooonnnnngg load times. Both are counter productive and you end up getting about a half hour of actual playing time for some games. Neither are an issue with the DS.
