Omega is one of my Favorite characters. I saw that G1 Omega Supreme went well with Chugs! But I don't know if I should splurge for G1 Omega or wait for Titan Class Omega?

 

I'd go with Year of the snake omega or wait for titan supreme.

G1 stuff just doesn't work with chug. the blockier and simpler aesthetics made it look awkward.

 

That's a difficult decision.

I believe Trypticon is due next year.
If they stick to a yearly schedule of 1 titan, the earliest would be 2018.
That's assuming a Titan release from now on will only include the rest of the 3 remaining "citybots"

There are no silhouettes, details, or even a guarantee that Omega will come out.
Also, if I had to speculate, I sincerely doubt an updated Omega would have the walking/motorized feature (maybe lights/sounds at the most?)

I would wait if possible.

I'm quite happy with Energon Omega Supreme, which the year of the snake version was derived from. But the Energon version was a headmaster!

Considering the ONLY suggestion that there will even BE a Titan Omega Supreme has been people on this very board taking the argument that "well, it's bound to happen... right?" I would think you'll be waiting a long time.

Hasbro have not promised, hinted or even insinuated that there will be an Omega Supreme toy at all. You're far better off looking into third party solutions.

 

Hastak like their remolds, and I suspect they already have designs lying around somewhere for an Omega Supreme (and Scorponok) that shares parts with the upcoming Trypticon.

These days whenever they release something, you can usually a assume that there'll be a recolour/remold of it somewhere down the line. Saying that, I suspect that Scorponok is more likely to be the next Titan. Besides, I think Omega Supreme is better as a Supreme-class figure like the Energon version.

What I really want, personally, is an Animated-style Omega Supreme.

I've gone and highlighted every time you've used a guessing-word. Sorry, but assuming something will happen is worlds away from it actually happening.

Don't get me wrong though, predicting future toys and lines is fun and interesting, and god knows I do it a hell of a lot as well. The problems come when people start mixing desire with rumour, and rumour with fact.

Dude, there has been no teasers for him. During the poll, it was said that the vote was for who to release first. Trypticon will come out next year, then Scorponok and Omega Supreme (no particular order) will be released the following two years. If you have a fat wallet, Fans Toys is making a masterpiece scaled version later next year.

 

Both. I'd keep a g1 over a titans return anyway. But if you're collecting them, them heygetth

The reason people assume there will be an Omega is that he and Scorponok were included in the poll that gave us Trypticon.

There's no way Hasbro won't follow through on both of them, it just means they'll be further down the road.

 

YOTS or wait. I'm confident we'll get an updated one in the future because Hasbro wants to continue to sell Titan-class figures and what other characters can they use in that size class? Omega Supreme makes sense. It'll eventually happen.

 

do we know it's going to happen? No.

Is it likely as there are really only 2 characters (mayyyybe 3 if they went the Devastator route with Predaking) left that fit the size class AND they offered both of those as options with Trypticon in the "which Titan do we do next" poll and make the educated guess that they are coming? Yes.

I can see the argument for Scorponok most likely being the 2018 Titan given i think he and Trypticon could share quite a bit of parts and engineering (their base modes are remarkably similar) BUT they've also to date flipped Autobot-Decepticon through 4 releases, so if they keep up THAT pattern Omega could be the 2018 Titan.

Barring a major shift in strategy, there should be a Generations titan figure in Power of the Primes in Summer 2018 and the evidence points to it being either Omega or Scorpy.
