It's a good idea just to protect your investment. Plus it's great come resell time...I doubled my money on G1 Rodimus Prime and Sky Garry.

Yeah, you definitely should. Those things are too easy to damage and/or accidentally unseal. Sealing it in an acrylic case prevents it from happening.

BTW--this isn't the Fort Max that was on Ebay last week, was it? That one was rejected for being resealed, but the seller made no mention of this in the auction. (What a dick move, huh?)

I'm with Might Gaine on this, as well.

If anything ever happened to it, you'd never forgive yourself.

I'm not an AFA fan by any means, but a MISB Max? Wise decision to get him graded and protected, and you certainly won't lose any money if you resell. Heck, that could be a retirement plan right there.

    Oh, and :useless

I wanna drool on my keyboard :D

Misb Fort Max is a definite for grading.

Keep in mind that the population report where you got this info probably hasn't been updated for over a year.

    Nice Toy!!!

Yeah, what is up with that? Seems like they were updating every day and then all of the sudden they stopped updating it altogether.

my opinion is if its MISB, and you have no intention of opening it, then yeah, send it off to be graded and encased.

    Upon inspection of the pics..........

I would NOT send this in to be graded.

If you look closely......this Fort Max has been resealed.

I hope I am not offending anyone with my conclusions:)

I'm with you man. AFA will probably reject this. There's too much color breakage on the flaps. A close-up photo will reveal the truth. Take some close up photos of the flap edge and not the tape edge and we'll tell you whether it's a reseal.

Re-sealed huh? No MISB value then. Might as well display him out of box then :D

I think it's just glare, not color breakage. Maybe we could get some better pictures?

By the way, that's not the original US version. It's the licensed Chinese version made in 1993. You can tell from the sticker on the back and the copyright string on the back. AFA will probably label it the original US version, unfortunately.

I am no AFA expert but how are the inspectors supposed to check the toy's condition if they cannot open it? If there are no windows in the box, they cannot see the toy at all.
IMHO I think your box will be rejected for grading, so you should not bother spending you money on this. Just bubble-wrap the toy and keep it in a sunlight-free climate controlled room.

For toys without a window, they just grade the box.

NO way it was opened, Im sure..Check it out its a glare that makes it look white, or loosed. When I look at it its a grey (clip) in the middle that would whited if opend.
