Personally I think we need more Mp10's in proper Optimus colors.
Considering the MP10 goes for less than $200, and MP44 for $400 and already has a bad reputation for misassembled knees, I think a reprieve is necessary first and then maybe an adjustment for the price.
The problem is we're at an oversaturation point with regards to Optimus Mps after how many Mp10 remolds there are, and cheaper third party alternatives to the official MP44 exist.
Considering there have been several releases of the MP-10 mold, MP-44 deserves its chance.
i probably wouldnt get either due to financial concerns but from what ive seen i think id rather have another shot at mp10. or better still a trailer for my mp1
Have to imagine they’ll release MP44 eventually.
Hb can release MP44 like the way they released MP-9. No trailer. Just the guns, ax. Might chop off the $400 down to $200+
Considering hasbro is selling mp-44 via hasbropulse as an import I’d say it’s unlikely for them to release a domestic version anytime in the near future
I don’t think we are gonna get any mps domestically outside of online retail
Just wait for MP55 and they'll do a 4.0 of Optimus
No offense, but kind a dumb question considering mp-10 has been released twice already
mp-44 will get a mass US release, question is who will carry it? As its likely to be another exclusive
I don't think money wise it makes sense for Hasbro to domestically sell MP, which is why they no longer try. With them being even more complicated and labor intensive I seriously doubt we see a Hasbro version MP again.
While I don’t disagree with you necessarily, we did just get a hasbro version mp within the last month, mp-10g. Sure it’s a repaint but it’s still a hasbro mp
Yeah, but the cost of producing an MP10 is probably peanuts as the mold has paid for itself and then some. Hasbro is most like getting a great return with the Generation and Studio Series lines, there's no need to invest money in MPS.
Definitely agreed on that. But there’s also oddballs like ectotron who is engineered like a generations toy but scales with and is styled like a mp. I could see hasbro doing more figures like him, a sort of pseudo mp
Yup, I think that's their sweet spot. I think the MPMs were supposed to be that in between, but the results have been less than impressive.
I think you mean cheaper alternatives to the MP-10. MP-44 is in a league all on his own and the poll in the 3rd party section has proved it over the course of many months . Even with the QC issues .
@tigatron2002 gets it.
For anyone who isn’t aware, the days of Hasbro selling their version of an MP release as exclusives through a domestic retailer are over. The last few MP releases, including MP-44, have been sold by Hasbro directly through Hasbro Pulse. They’re no longer having alternate US versions produced and now sell the Takara-Tomy releases as-is with an English-language slipcover over the box.
Its a shame that theyre doing that with everything including the Takara Generations product.
A release is better than No release.
