    Thing is I agree with you guys about that it would make them a lot more alien but then again such a thing can so far only work in comic form and not cartoon form.

    Image the backlash from all angry soccer moms and religious groups that would make a gigantic fus about how "a cartoon about toy robots is promoting homosexuality!" Shit would be wacked yo!

    Because it doesn't matter that they are aliens and robots they look and sound like guys there for it would be gay.

    That reason alone is why we have to have fembots in TF shows if we want a thing like this to work or we simply keep them all "guys" and then shut our ears and go "LA LA LA LA LALALALA" when it comes to reproduction :lol 

    The comics are another beast entirely!

    I agree wholeheartedly, romance between some characters is fine. Black Arachnia and Silverbolt is an example as it wasn't sexual but more along the lines of Romeo and Juliet.

    This is a children's franchise and that kind of thing should be kept as far away from transformers as possible. If you want it, I'm pretty sure the internet can provide.

    As it stands now, there's already gendered robots and attractions/relationships based on that, I don't think taking it further would add anything other than appeal to certain people's fetishes.

    I know this may sound unpopular and all but I'd like to see the franchise try to introduce a type of reproduction for Cybertronians. After all we're seeing in Prime so far that the TFs on the show are both mechanical and biological organisms so what's to say that there's not someway they can reproduce? Like supposing if the Well of Allsparks runs out and the ablity to reproduce kicks into thier systems?

    It doesn't need to be graphic and I know a lot of people are not happy about seeing it depslyed in such a sick manner like Kiss Players believe me but if done right it can be a pretty interesting way of showing them as actual beings in a way and not just machines.

    There've been plenty. Budding, the creation matrix as a transferrable computer algorhythm, hatchlings, manufacturing in a factory, etc. etc.

    The point of the Well of Allsparks is not that it's a limited number of sparks, it's that one leaves, inhabits a body, lives it's life, dies, and then returns to the Allspark, enriching it with the experiences it had, even as a new, different spark buds off from the now-changed gestalt consciousness. It's not something that's meant to run out. The philisophical point is that all cybertronians are a part of the same soul, are all facets of Primus, and that sooner or later, they will all be one again.
