Over the years the Transformer characters have become humanized to the point were the only difference between them, humans and other organisms are there made of metal and change into vehicles mostly. So with the already introduction of religion, politics and even diseases into the franchise should gender and sexual orientation (Just to make it simple; heterosexuality/homosexuality?, maybe bisexuality? and asexuality?), exist in the franchise to?

(No I am not talking about showing pornographic imagery to kids, witch is just a stupid conclusion to jump to.)

It's already in Beast Wars. It's another reason BW > everything, especially TFP.

Just a few days ago, Mrs. Bus and I were watching "Only Human", and we realized that human-Rodimus, in that show, fulfills most of the Sly 1940s Conventions for dubious offscreen activities.

    -unaccounted spending of night
-with possibly sympathetic female of dubious ethics
-who makes him breakfast next time we see them
-and the only later reference is that he enjoyed his stay too much.

Went completely over my head before. Those scampy writers, always getting things past the radar. :D

That reminds me of that one time I was on Hydrus Three... ya know, there's a reason for that hospital on Hydrus Four...

I mean... I'd like them to date and things, and I'd also like a clearer sense on... where baby Transformers come from. But that doesn't mean I want like... them sexualized. The sort of little innuendos that went on with Silverbolt and Blackarachnia is about as hard-core as I'd like to see it.

I... think you might be showing your... bias... a little here.

But no, sex and sexuality does not need to be integrated to the transformers. If anything, they're overanthropomorphized as it is. We worry so much about having them conform to our way of life, both physiologically, socially, psychologically, and ethically, that we miss out on many opportunities to approach "their" way differently, and in doing so explore our own. That's what makes good sci-fi.

Well, it wouldn't be the worst thing to happen in the franchise...

To Quote Beast Wars Megatron: "YESSSSSSSSSS"

Preferably some kind of sex mix between Game of Thrones, Alien and True Blood.

With regards to sexuality, we don't need to get into any of that with Transformers. If you feel that we do, then perhaps you're over-thinking this hobby and are better off expressing it through fanfiction.

I didn't say I wanted to see robot sex. Only on what people thought of it happen.

Yeah, I bet "50 Shades of Chrome" would be a huge hit for a child-oriented toyline.

Gender (as a mental/social construct) and romance have pretty much ALWAYS been a part of Transformers and likely always will be.

That's enough. It's a children's property first and a geeky adventure-scifi-war property second. Neither of those require explicit Sex and indeed it is a detriment to the former.

-ZacWilliam, if your a fan of a kids/geek franchise Enjoy it for want it is, don't try to turn it into something squinky.

You asked if we felt it should be introduced. I said no.

I think today's kids are screwed up enough already with the mixed sexual messages in movies and TV without the introduction of robot sex.

I dunno, apparently Kiss Players is often considered the worst. And you could certainly argue that it was "too sexual".

This is a kids show. In Beast Wars it was only implied and I doubt kids would've even understood. It was only Rattrap talking about Cybertronian strip clus.
