Unicron is always the last bot in the long line of "Lets introduce a bigger bot" story telling and comes across as kind of cheap since the story has been done to death.

I'd much rather see more Omega Supreme stuff in Animated. That was probably the highpoint for Animated thus far.

 

Armada got better following Unicron's appearance.

Can't honestly say that Unicron's appearance is what made Energon suck so much cog...

Oh jeeze, no D: Whenever he shows up in a series, they always end up using some lame magic plot device/power of love type BS which typically results in poor writing. Yeah we have the Allspark in Animated, but it doesn't need to follow the same path as the Matrix, Angolmois, and Minicons before it. It only worked in Armada, but that series really could've only got better by an in-show disaster.

 

I think yes. We need a more G1 looking Unicron toy than the Armada one. Even though the toy was fantastic.

 

i still think it would be cool to have him in there. only, the events happened a couple billion years ago (Ratchet says the transformers are 14 billion years old), and so he wont really appear in the series, only his name to the transformers is kinda like the boogieman to us.

well i think it would be cool, typing out a good idea kinda means they wont use it cos of copyright and that. having animated set in a universe where the threat of unicron has long been defeated and shows no signs of ever returning kinda works. plus the allspark could be an artifact form that time period.

We have 'bots versus 'cons. Good against evil. No super super des ex machina devices of superness. No supreme ultra evil threat to destroy the universe with a single blink (which is what Unicron does). Sometimes simple is just enough.

Yes, but only to the effect that he's talked about by the bots in the show, but never actually shows up. Same thing for Primus. Have the bots talk about him, but not actually have him in the show.

No Unicron. The whole idea is pretty silly. I mean a planet sized thing just being near earth is enough to destroy it.
