    Hi folks,

First off, please let me emphasize that I don't mean to bust 3A's chops or anything! I think they do fantastic work.
Just that as an (overly) passionate fan/collector, I thought it would be cool to gauge opinions to see if you folks agree that it would
be worth them tweaking the forthcoming Megatron figure (mainly the torso/chest), to make it as killer as it can be.
I know, I know...some hate the "Bay-verse", but some of us dig the designs, so this is for us.
That said, thanks for indulging me! Pardon my forthrightness, here! :)
    Thanks.

I'd like it to have a longer cape

Agreed! But the torso issue is the main biggie.
The cape is something that could be fixed in an hour. lol

Here are the issues in order:

    1). Chest
    2). Too brown
    3). Cape color
    4). Cape length

the only thing I don't like about the chest is that it looks too much like a single piece,
I think it would better if it looked like it was made of separate pieces,
that way it would look more like the cgi, I mean , they were able to get the rotf one to look that way , why not the dotm one

and yes the figures colour is a little too saturated

I would say Megatron doesn't look epic. It is a hard thing to replicate Megatron's design without going insane, and I commend 3A for doing it. However, Megatron just looks like a painted over toy (I know he's more than that).

Their Bumblebee isn't accurate (the face is a little off), but it has so much going for it that it looks like that could have been the model the animators used to bring Bumblebee to life on the big screen. Megatron doesn't give me that same feeling.

    Which makes Bobbatronus sad.

I wish they took more liberties with it and have it a 3A feel, like their Iron Man and Manzinger.

Yeah, I think the chest is way too flat in terms of different pieces and it's not as three dimensional as Bee's.

I wasn't able to tell what exactly was wrong with Bee until I compared pics of him to the movie renderings for a while. With Megatron it was obvious the first time I laid eyes on him. Not really something I'm happy about given he's going to cost so much.

Yeah, it's an overall cool piece but I had the same feeling, as well.
Bumblebee blew me away upon first glance and Megs, while obviously a cool looking figure, definitely has more obvious issues at first glance.
Again, I'm not knocking 3A, here. They kick ass. I plan to buy the piece no matter what.
But with minor tweaking, overall, it would be a GREAT piece.
Btw, I'm really looking forward to seeing better pics.

It just needs to look like more seperate, layered parts. I agree it looks like one really nicely sculpted plastic part.

    I agree 100%.

I hope 3A and Hasbro/Takara are very successful with this line in the hope that we get more different characters in the future.

Absolutely! I really hope they're successful too.
Seeing 3A do these types of high-end poseable movie figures is very exciting,
and it doesn't seem like anyone else will, so it's easy to kind of obsess over them. lol
But yeah, I hope people support them.
I'd like to see a ton more.

That's basically what I'm afraid of now. This Megatron is a pretty big step down from Bee and it's going to hurt their sales. Less sales means less figures. And I've been waiting for this stuff for 7.5 years now. I don't know what I'd do if we never get past the main 4.

No, because shitty design by committee fan-wanking is the height of whining.

I'm actually normally inclined to agree with that outlook, but when
it's just pretty minor alterations that can literally make the piece that much more accurate and killer, why not?
Nobody's saying they should change the design of the character and nobody's hating on them. Certainly not me.
Just suggesting minor tweaks to a sculpt, to make it more like the original design. :)
It's the sort of thing other companies (Hot Toys, for instance) take into consideration and do by their own volition, so just hoping that 3A might, as well.
    Thanks.

No tweaking needed, looks perfect to me.
